The American leftists are all cowards at heart. It isn't that they oppose fundamentalism; if that was the case they'd have opposed Mohammedanism. It isn't that they support equal rights; if that was the case they'd have opposed the Taliban. It isn't that they oppose oppression and violence; if that was the case they’d oppose Red China. It isn't that they oppose greed; if that was the case millionaire trial lawyers wouldn’t be their darlings. It isn’t that they oppose suffering; if that was the case they wouldn't have pushed Africa to ban DDT and therefore allow epidemics of malaria to kill countless children. What they ultimately oppose and fear is having something worth defending. Therefore what ever America does is wrong, and not only not worth defending, but morally wrong to defend. In time of crisis they rationalize that the highest duty is to snicker and sneer from the side lines at those who do the hard work and take the risks.
