TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO FEBRUARY DAILY THREAD 2005: TERRI IS OUR VALENTINE!
Free Republic and various sources | December 30, 2004, January 31, 2005 | Florida Voter

*Michael, HAVE A HEART !!!!!For Valentines Day give Terri back to her MOM & DAD, The Schindlers!!!!!!!!*

The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.

Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views. January 2005 Daily Thread was a RECORD HIGH!!!!!!! 15, 103 VIEWS!!!!!!

More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

Visit: http://www.terrisfight.org

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.

I just got a notice from Terri's site about the article in the Palm Beach Post. They also asked us to vote in the poll. I missed the poll when I read it earlier so I thought I would post it again for others that may not have noticed the poll. I haven't caught up with all the posts tonight, so I may have missed any mention to the poll.

The two children are not legitmized so Michael is not only harming Terri in the worst way, but additionally, he is not providing a last name and the protections therein for the two children. That's a violation in the State of Florida but Greer isn't well versed in Florida law.

What do the birth certificates say? Michael has publicly admitted to at least one of the children, so his statement plus his being named on a birth certificant should together constitute sufficient evidence that an appellate court might not let Judge Greer ignore it.

Thanks for re-posting the poll. I used to think they weren't important but they are a way to measure public opinion even though Terri is not running for office, she's running for her life.

PALM BEACH POST POLL STATE SHOULD HELP TERRI YES OR NO?

I hate polls like that. The wording is such that either answer could be taken to justify either position. Michael could argue that a "yes" answer means that the state should protect Terri's rights from being infringed by her evil parents who want to keep her hooked up to the evil feeding tube, while a "no" answer would let those rabble that call themselves her "family" take over. Of course, others would argue that a "yes" answer means the state should protect Terri's right to live from those who would starve her, and a "no" answer would mean the no-good-[bleep]-of-a-[bleep]-[bleep] who basely has an excuse to be called "husband", much less "family", should be allowed to do whatever he claims Terri wants.

Feb. 22? hmmm... that happens to be the feast of the Chair of St. Peter, Apostle, celebrating Jesus' choosing him(Matthew 16) as first Pope, to shepherd the Church, against which the gates of hell wouldn't prevail (paraphrasing, since I've no Bible nearby). Perhaps another prayer is in order:

Dear St. Peter, bishop and martyr, first in a long line of Popes, you were the first of them to be charged with the almost unbearable task of shepherding all us stiff-necked people down through the ages once Jesus ascended to the Father.

Please bring your intercession to bear on Terri Schindler Schiavo, who is in danger of being starved and dehydrated again, beginning on the feast commemorating your becoming the first Pope. Please ask God to free her to the loving care of her family, that such action will be yet another evidence of the supreme power of the Truth you were called during your lifetime to protect. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Yes, it is a fuzzy poll because a portion of the State believes that starving Terri is going to help her. She might not agree to another starvation-dehydration. I believe the last time they tried to kill her, Terri was frightened and aware that she wasn't being cared for.

Been too busy to follow today's thread, and only have a minute now. Today Sen. Hatch was speaking on the Senate floor for legal reform. Did anyone see this?

He spoke on and on in detail about a county in Illinois where the legal system has been corrupted so that every frivolous lawsuit imaginable is filed there and the system is so fixed they all are successful in getting huge sums of money from businesses whether justified or not. Lawyers, judges, juries...everyone is in a way on the take, said Hatch, and debated Sen. Durbin from Illinois on that point.

Hatch said those kinds of lawsuits must be moved to federal court because in that county there is no way to get justice. Of course I thought of Terri. Some may have contacted Hatch's office before, but this thing has Terri's life in the balance, and Hatch was exposing the corrupted legal system there that he said was hopeless.

What do you think about this angle of pursuit with Hatch? He made such an open point of this, I was amazed. He is very close to people in the DOJ.

"I sent an email around last year asking people to contact their local hospitals and ask them for a copy of their futile care policy. Many facilities admit they have one, getting a copy is another matter. These committees have been making these decisions. Some states farther along in the process than others."

OK, I admit I had thought these committees were rather scattered. The problem is worse than I knew, and I'm sure some people aren't aware of it at all. I don't like the idea that these committees might have the final say, especially since the trend is now to expand what's considered "futile care".

When you add these committees of bureaucrats to bills allowing hearsay, and making judges unaccountable in these matters, the future looks very bleak for all of us.

" As stated previously, this is the only bill filed. There will be no other chances. This bill may not be tailored to Terri Schiavo, but there are no others addressing withdrawal of nurtition and hydration.

There will be others. That's why it's so important for things not to go wrong with this legislation.

I love your prayer, and am so happy that you recalled that it is the feast of the Chair of St. Peter! Good call! I especially enjoyed the "almost unbearable task of shepherding all us stiff-necked people down through the ages".

AMEN!

Reliable sources have confirmed the Florida AG's office, state Attorney Bernie McCabe's office and the Florida DOH (3x in 2 hours no less) have visited The Empire Journal and read the exposes there in the Schiavo case----some indicating they got there by clicking on a link here at the thread.

That's encouraging news!

"The right-to-die movement seems to be fully in the implementing stages of the game. The rest of us didn't realize there was a game in progress. Terri's case woke me up."

I realized there was a game in progress in college. Most of those of us in our college pro-life organization did. And it was obvious the game was only going to progress.

You're a better "man" than I am. I just hope the rest of us aren't too late. There's a lot of undoing to work on.
