...SEN. KERRY: We were right on the border, Tim. What I explained to people and I told this any number of times, did I go into Cambodia on a mission? Yes, I did go into Cambodia on a mission. Was it on that night? No, it was not on that night. But we were right on the Cambodian border that night. We were ambushed there, as a matter of fact. And that is a matter of record, and we went into the rec-- you know, it's part of the Navy records. It's been documented by the other guys who were on my boat. And Steve Gardner, frankly, doesn't know where we were...

(1-30-05) SEN. KERRY:
I still have the hat that he gave me, and I hope the guy would come out of the woodwork and say, "I'm the guy who went up with John Kerry. We delivered weapons to the Khmer Rouge on the coastline of Cambodia." We went out of Ha Tien, which is right in Vietnam. We went north up into the border. And I have some photographs of that, and that's what we did. So, you know, the two were jumbled together, but we were on the Cambodian border on Christmas Eve, absolutely.( 3-27-86) Sen. Kerry: Mr. President, I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the President of the United States telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia. I have that memory which is seared-seared-in me, that says to me, before we send another generation into harm's way we have a responsibility in the U.S. Senate to go the last step, to make the best effort possible in order to avoid that kind of conflict.
I'm really confused now. Was he delivering weapons to the Khmer Rouge or was he being shot at by the Khmer Rouge???
To: Marano NYC
Does anyone know the genesis of this Christmas in Cambodia story ? I checked and the first reference to it I see was a movie review for Apocalypse Now. That's exactly where it cme from.
In the published accounts of Kerry's contempraneous journal, he began Dec 24 at one of the Mekong mouths (In the South China Sea!), proceeded up river, on one engine to conserve fuel, reaching Sa Dec (55mniles = as the flying dog flies - from the border) around midday. After refueling, "wasted" half a day at Sa Dec, moving out in the early evening. This doesn't give enought time, even at flank speed, to reach Cambodia and return to Sa Dec. (The return, in time to close the jounal entry - still on the 24th - in noted in Kerry's account written at the time.

He DID NOT go on a mission into Cambodia. He was about 5 miles inland of the Cambodian border. Beg to differ. He was about 5 miles from Sa Dec, which is 55 miles from the Cambodian border.

Thanks, I always wanted to see them all.
Up here in RI the dems had a lock, and no money was spent locally to discredit the traitor.

I actually watch 10 mins. of it. It was great! I got to eat breakfast twice.

The rat kerry is a liar. I want to see evidence of this latest lie. This son of a 6itch needs to be prosecuted! He reopened it now, he puts the gun to his head. Will the corrupted cabal of rat legislature and msm pursue it? He put the gun to his head, let us pull the trigger on the lying traitor!

Maybe he "jumbled" them together?
I paid very close attention to what he said on the rerun and I STILL didn't understand what he was saying, but I got the impression he was lying.
That being said, he definitely said he was going to produce those pictures and sign that 180; let's see if he does.
As an aside, I swear Tim Russert was reading those questions right off FR!

A question for you all: was yesterday the first time he came up with the "jumbled" excuse? The two different times?

I think so.
I don't recall Kerry saying he went in there twice.

I had the same thought.
That's why I pound Hanoi Kerry so much.
For the lurkers from the left and right.

Oh yes we do (know how to read "the Constitution"). But it seems the Republican majority and GW don't. Don't get me wrong I support GW but his domestic agenda and brand of "compassionate" conservatism isn't all that impressive. But we can't have it all.
It is just a crying shame that the likes of J. F'n Kerry gets elected, stays reelected, in spite of his traitorous actions and lies that he continues to spout.

"That was a little overkill - dontcha think ..?? Sorry sweetie .. I didn't mean to push your buttons."
Don't worry about pushing my buttons.
Worry about the disrespect that Hanoi Kerry
shows the 58,000 + names on The Wall
And worry about those who have the power in the US Senate
and Right Wing Main Stream Media who just want to "move on."

I'm just a puffy civilian and I've never worn so much as a postal uniform, but I want to speak up to say I honor our vets and their service and John F. Kerry is no Goddamned good.

Lessee, Kerry says that we are not safer because we took down Iraq, then a couple of paragraphs later, he says we are safer.
He could give George Orwell a few pointers.

Nice post!
And Thank You for your service!!!
To: Oztrich Boy
The press blew this one big time if this is true. This lie having origins in a movie review should have ruined his career.
What is the problem with these democrats and movies. Al Gore believed Love Story was about him. Tipper is still alive and well at the time of this writing. John Kerry believe Apocalypse Now is his story. Does anyone have a clue
what movie Hillary will choose ? Evita or the Wizard of Oz are prime candidates.
