A bitter-sounding Sen. John Kerry dismissed the historic Iraqi election on Sunday, warning Americans not to "overhype" the watershed event."No one in the United States should try to overhype this election," Kerry told NBC's "Meet the Press." The failed presidential candidate questioned the historic referendum's legitimacy, saying, "It's hard to say that something is legitimate when a whole portion of the country can't vote and doesn't vote."
Kerry also pooh-poohed reports of a surprisingly high 72 percent turnout by Iraqi voters, insisting instead that the election has "gone as expected."
Asked if he thought Iraq was now less of a terrorist threat, Kerry at first said, "No, it's more. And, in fact, I believe the world is less safe today than it was two and a half years ago."
But he changed his answer moments later, after "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert pressed him on the bizarre claim.
"I'm glad Saddam Hussein is gone, and I've said that a hundred times," he insisted.
The election can't be important if it doesn't involve John Kerry. It's amazing how the thick headed democrats continue to stick to their original position against war with Iraq even when it makes them look like bigger jackasses.
They're in too deep to reverse themselves now.

"I'll keep working on it until it really captures the sleazy, pompous, treasonous, lying-scumbag, neocommunist, dishonest, mendacious, lazy, anti-America nature of the jerk!"
It's great! I also noticed another one to go with it:
Fenris6 (3 Purple Hearts in 4 months w/o missing a day of work? He's either John Rambo or a Fraud)

You're more than welcome to use mine. Enjoy!
LOL, He's still flip floppin' :)

Kerry did his job today by pulling fact time away from the election and the Bush/Republican victory.
The MSM just could not DARE admit THIS IS A SUCCESS.
They are in touch, not with reality, but with their own alternate reality in a parallel universe. All national democrats are a combined clear and present danger to the country. Others to add to the list:
Harry Reid
John Edwards
Tom Harkin
Dick Durbin
Ratprick Leahy
Chuckie Shumer
Mark Dayton
Russ Feingold
John Conyers
A list of sane democrats would be much shorter.
Kerry needs to take a page from TerYaZa's book and go into hiding. On second thought, no you moron, keep talking. Just when you can't think he can make a bigger a$$ out of himself, sticks that big foot back in his mouth.
Maybe he's back in the situation he was before he married Mrs. Heinz, and he doesn't have a home anymore. So he's sleeping in his office, and doing the talk show circuit since possibly she's kicked him to the curb. Wouldn't that be sweet!...LOL
"It's hard to say that something is legitimate when a whole portion of the country can't vote and doesn't vote."
Translation: I and many other Democrats are more concerned about Bush failing than Iraq (and America) succeeding. Same as it ever was.
Glad I didn't vote for Kerry. I would be terribly embarrassed right now if I did vote for him because he is still calling it wrong.
After that comment I think another 5% of the Kerry voters just changed parties.
Kerry and Kennedy are responsible for more additions to the Republican Party than any two men alive......well, maybe the Clintons.......
Thanks Guys!
Nah Kerry is very consistent.
You slid that in there very nicely. ;)
Safe at first!
"What a pathetic, bitter, foolish wanker"
What an insult to all those pathetic, bitter, foolish wankers to put Kerry in their category, lol.
Kerry told Russert that we (HA) "should not overhype" this election. This comment from the man...oops, veteran...who OVERHYPED his pathetic 3 month service.
LOL!
" ... This day is one of the biggest triumphs in history and Russert decides to cover a LOSER?"
No doubt the motive was to have a "home run" show, should the election go south, or 10,000 Iraqi's got killed, or 150 US troops were massacred.
Russert and Kerry deserve to share the same eternal space, locked in each others arms.
