Kerry: Iraq Election No Big Deal
NewsMax.com ^ | 1/30/05 | Carl Limbacher

A bitter-sounding Sen. John Kerry dismissed the historic Iraqi election on Sunday, warning Americans not to "overhype" the watershed event.

"No one in the United States should try to overhype this election," Kerry told NBC's "Meet the Press." The failed presidential candidate questioned the historic referendum's legitimacy, saying, "It's hard to say that something is legitimate when a whole portion of the country can't vote and doesn't vote."

Kerry also pooh-poohed reports of a surprisingly high 72 percent turnout by Iraqi voters, insisting instead that the election has "gone as expected."

Asked if he thought Iraq was now less of a terrorist threat, Kerry at first said, "No, it's more. And, in fact, I believe the world is less safe today than it was two and a half years ago."

But he changed his answer moments later, after "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert pressed him on the bizarre claim.

"I'm glad Saddam Hussein is gone, and I've said that a hundred times," he insisted.

Kerry sticks his finger in his eye to fake crying...

He must be feeling depressed about his inability to tell the truth or be a meaningful presence in US politics.

He's the same ole treasonous POS we remember form his VVAW days, seeking domestic political advantage by crticizing the accomplishments of our troops in the field and trying to demoralize us at home.

The difference is no one believes him or the MSM any more.

I saw Kerry's ugly puss on the tube on Meet the Press this AM, but refused to turn on the sound, as I knew whatever he was saying was inaccurate, indefensible, and irrlevant.

I get out of church this morning after watching my granddaughter march down the aisle with her Catholic school friends and the first thing I hear is John Kerry with Tim Russert. My state of grace flew right out the window.

---It appears that Kerry who usually can be counted on to do a 180 degree turn is now doing a 360 turn: ---

indeed. a "flip-flop" is no longer deceptive enough for kerry. he has invented the "trip-flop".

The Sunday morning talk show thread details what Kerry said. Very negative.

Russert showed a picture of Kerry sitting in the stands at the Inaugural with Bush in the picture. Asked Kerry what he was thinking. Kerry said he though "I'm sitting in the wrong seat."

Kerry also said that but for a few votes, they would be taking about the State of the Union speech that HE would be giving next week.

Russert confronted him somewhat with the Swift Boat vets. MTP will be replayed this evening.

Because he knows by putting on Kerry (the ex dem presidential candidate), he can combine the appearance of political gravitas with the reality of venomous anti-American defeatism.

It's what the MSM 'news' factories do best.

Booby(I like it!) thought wrong yet again. I didn't hear him last week - I hit the mute button as soon as I see his face and reaching for it when he came out with this - he is one of the more dispicable faces of the democrat party.

Sounds like he has completely detached from reality.

You know the beautiful part of these former democratic presidential candidates is that when they do not have their handlers whispering in thier ears we get to see their true psychopathic selves and breathe a huge grateful sigh of relief that they lost.

Your wrong about 1 thing. Their handlers are whispering in their ears. What Kerry & Kennedy & Dean are saying is exactly what the center of the Democratic now believes.
