A bitter-sounding Sen. John Kerry dismissed the historic Iraqi election on Sunday, warning Americans not to "overhype" the watershed event."No one in the United States should try to overhype this election," Kerry told NBC's "Meet the Press." The failed presidential candidate questioned the historic referendum's legitimacy, saying, "It's hard to say that something is legitimate when a whole portion of the country can't vote and doesn't vote."
Kerry also pooh-poohed reports of a surprisingly high 72 percent turnout by Iraqi voters, insisting instead that the election has "gone as expected."
Asked if he thought Iraq was now less of a terrorist threat, Kerry at first said, "No, it's more. And, in fact, I believe the world is less safe today than it was two and a half years ago."
But he changed his answer moments later, after "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert pressed him on the bizarre claim.
"I'm glad Saddam Hussein is gone, and I've said that a hundred times," he insisted.
He is becoming a caricature of himself...
he gets more and more irrelevant every day :)
What a pathetic, bitter, foolish wanker.
John Kerry is a bitter man. The more he talks, the more the Bush voters are vindicated.
".....unless I had been elected President. Then I would have made the talk show circuit telling everyone I was the Second Coming of Jesus."
what he says is meaningless, he is yesterday's news.
what has Hillary said, watch her carefully.
Loser. Always was; always will be.
Perhaps Kerry's remarks are a clue to his 'plan'...
John F'in Kerry should have resigned his Senate seat and run as a candidate in Iraq's elections, representing al Qaeda, of course.
As incompetent a politician as he is however, he would have lost that election too.
I can hear the Kerry/Iraq campaign mullah babbling now "let every ink-stained finger count!!!!"
translation: "The Iraqi elections prove that I lied when I said (about a zillion times), "George Bush doesn't have a plan to win the peace".
Kerry had one shot---when he ran as a "moderate" war hero. That fell apart under scrutiny and he can't fly under the radar any more. With every day he proves his voting history--the most far left wing member of the Senate. He will never get the nomination again--even the RATS are not that stupid.
You know the beautiful part of these former democratic presidential candidates is that when they do not have their handlers whispering in thier ears we get to see their true psychopathic selves and breathe a huge grateful sigh of relief that they lost.
Such a strange, sad little man.
In FNC ... Bob Becker is slamming sKerry for what he said today on MTP ... *L*
So happy this man lost BUMP
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Millions of voters turned out and yet the dems will find a way to rain on the parade. I'm convinced the US will be a conservative country for many, many years to come.
