The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Some American Mosques Carry Extremist Tracts, Study Says
Full Story

WASHINGTON -- Mosques across the U.S. continue to carry books and pamphlets describing non-Muslims as "infidels" and promoting intolerance against Western society, according to a forthcoming study by Freedom House, a U.S. human-rights group.

Despite vows from American Islamic leaders after Sept. 11, 2001, to proselytize peacefully, New York based Freedom House researchers found 57 documents with incendiary material in more than a dozen mosques and Islamic centers in six states and Washington, D.C., visited over the past year.

the reports of people taking pictures and notes has dropped off.....

Your memory is fine, but it doesn't necessarily mean anything in this context. Recons might simply be completed. The main idea in such a prestrike recon is to probe for weaknesses and set up the attack as well as the lines of exfiltration (unless it's a suicide operation). But you don't want to hang around or revisit the strike zone and risk compromise.

More bad guys down and out.

MILF rebels help AFP raid Pentagon hideout

COTABATO: Muslim guerrillas helped government troops on Monday find a hideout where they had killed five members of a criminal gang on a US terrorist group list, officials said.

The troops, guided partly by information from the rebels, raided a “Pentagon Gang” lair in a vast marshland in Maguindanao province, thwarting an alleged kidnapping-for-ransom plot, said army Col. Gerry Jalandoni.

The military had informed the separatist Moro Islamic Liberation Front—which has a cease-fire agreement with the government—about the raid beforehand to prevent accidental clashes with MILF guerrillas camped near the hideout, Jalandoni said.

The MILF provided information that helped the troops find the gang, he said.

Bomb suspect nabbed

In Manila police have arrested a man believed to be one of the two suspects who left more than 12 kilos of explosives and bomb components in Taguig on Friday.

The Southern Police District director, Chief Supt. Wilfredo Garcia, identified the suspect as Jemar Astalik, alias Janjalani, 19, a resident of Signal Village in Taguig.

Astalik denied knowledge of the foiled bomb attack but admitted having known one Gap-Bal Bana, alias Boy Negro, said to be one of the two men who left the materials.

Astalik was positively identified by witnesses Joseph Diala and Dennis Laguipo.

On Friday, police recovered a black bag, a box and a tin can that contained two kilos of TNT, 10 kilos of pyrotechnic powder and 90 pieces of blasting cap inside an abandoned mini-store at Block 9, Lot 15, Phase 1.

Manhunt continues

There were no casualties Monday among the soldiers, who recovered an M-16 rifle and two antitank rocket launchers from the hideout near Midpandacan Village, about 930 kilometers (575 miles) southeast of Manila, Jalandoni said.

Troops were chasing about two dozen kidnappers who fled after the raid and the two-hour gun battle, he said.

The Pentagon Gang is notorious for kidnapping foreign workers and Christian missionaries.

Some military officials allege the gang is the MILF’s money-making arm. The MILF denies the allegation.

The MILF has been fighting for a separate Muslim homeland in Mindanao for decades, and has pledged to help capture criminals and suspected foreign terrorists in an effort to foster peace talks with the government.

http://ufos.about.com/library/weekly/aa093097.htm

Well, ex-Special Agent Richard Doty said there was a program of disinformation by the USAF and other governmental entities to encourage individuals that were seeing TOP SECRET military activities to believe they were seeing UFOs.

He also claimed to have misled Linda Moulton Howe, who is one of Art's long time contributors, over the cattle mutilations in New Mexico. He claimed the US Govt. was injecting bio-terrorism related chemicals into the cows, then cutting parts out of them and leaving the remains in fields, to further the mystery of "the UFOS" visiting the area.

But, in the end, he really did admit that Roswell was a true incident, and the alien really did like strawberry ice cream and Tibetan music.

Jihadist Commentary on the Killing of Rafiq al-Hariri
