It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
I think he did
While Greta was talking about the "other Peterson" case I switched over to MSNBC. The reporter was mentioning the rocket attack o the embassy, but not one word that the attckers had been caught
Why am I blushing? I missed something?
He was 19 when he served in this one......
remember the reporter who was always looking at himself in the lense or a mirror, when he thought he wasn't "on the air" but was live on the web cam, overlooking the traffic circle??
I still remember the scene of Baghdad Bob standing on the roof and claiming there were no Americans in Baghdad and seeing off in the distance behind him a M1 A1 tank chasing a fat Iraqi down the river bank.
yup.......the Redwoods are an awesome sight.....kind of like freedom and victory...........
you are gonna watch NBC for us.....how brave and be careful out there.......after awhile you may start feeling the need to cheat and commit fraud
I think Baghdad Bob hung himself, but I'm not sure.
Remember those news conferences too--and how well Schwartzkopf handled the lame reporters. Felt the same way you did, even tho I was very grateful the war was so short!
Yes! The vain reporter!!
Thanks for posting this, mdittmar.
If he did......... I couldn't blame him........
cause you are going ga ga over the boys in green over there....but I do love a man in uniform......well at least as much as a regular guy can
Events such as this does not happen too often. But just think in less than a year in a few minutes we will have rendered aid to 2 countries in which the citizens of the 2 countries can rise up against the terrorist tyrants that suppressed them for far too many years.

I am worried about her,,she will be flirting with dems, shoplifting and voting twice if she hands around there long.
Wow....I can remember sitting behind my computer, watching and watching from that webcam....for days on end....the comings and goings of traffic....seems like forever ago.
For all that have speculated how the MSM will report this election---
A bunch of years ago a Dallas Cowboy football players, Michael Irvin got in some trouble with girls and drugs. It was while he was still playing so the local news people were glued to the guy---he couldn't go anywhere without a news camera in his face.
Well, one of the charges against him was false and he knew it, but with all of the previous bad publicity no one would believe him and the media just hounded him.
One day, he turned around when a cameraman was following him and he pointed at the media and said,"I hope, when I am found innocent of these charges, you will report THAT with the same intensity as you have been reporting the false charges. The very same intensity, you hear me?"
I'll never forget it, and I wish Bush would say something to that effect if this goes well---tell the press to report the successes in Iraq with the same INTENSITY as the so-called failures!
I cannot help it,,those soldiers are so hot. We used to post pics of them arguing over who was the hhottest. And we were old ladies!!
