It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
You know, you're right! Kind of like when the Statue of Hussein fell, only greater in scope.
Iraqi imprisoned & tortured by Saddam on Greta's show now.
Greg Kelly (sp?) of Fox was fantastic, wasn't he? Man--what history we are witnessing--together. Awesome!
I have fond mems of the first Gulf War,,those daily briefings from Norman S. When they went off, I had withdrawal.
Either way it's a good outcome: the Patriots and the Eagles. :-)
The No-stop light that everyone ran, Dr. Bob Arnet, David Bloom, Michael Kelly, Baghdad Bob, Ceegar Man, the traffic circle, Pretty Chicken, the prayer call that sounded like screeching cats, car alarms every time a bomb went off, Greg Kelly surprising us by popping up in the middle of Baghdad...SO many memories.
And just think. That was only 20 months ago! When you look at it like that, it's amazing how far they've come.
Remember the Thunder Runs?
Tanks what tanks? Baghdad Bob....... lol
"that is why most older Germans and Eastern Europeans get it.....they lived through it"
You're spot on. No coincidence that former Iron Curtain countries are supporting us in this war. Germany sadly is too worried about longer vacations and shorter workweeks...
Muir Woods is one of the most stunning places I've ever been by the way...
al Qatie Couric should be a trip to watch too, LOL! I wonder if Judy Woofwoof over at CNN will actually cry.
me neither.....I was born in 1957 so was very little when Kennedy stood down the Ruskies but living in that era even made me more proud when the wall fell.......it was like my dad when we landed men on the moon......he wept cause on old farm boy in the depression never even imagined something like that
And that was pre-Fox days. Reading people talk about the Berlin Wall falling... can you imagine if we would have had a resource like Fox then?
Wonderful idea.
I'm rummaging about for a deep link blue pen to use to do the same in the morning.
Where is Baghdad Bob? Did he survive.
The Iraqi's story is amazing and he is soooo glad to be out of Saddam's torture and now seeing elections---can you imagine this guy's emotions over the last few years?
Who doesn't have a crush on her...the PW's sure know good propaganda when they see it.
Thanx i have it now dish fixed the problem i guess ....to many people want to see the elections on fox for them not to fix it
wow.....you must be blushing cajun girl......
Baghdad Bob, LOL! "There are no US military anywhere in the vicinity". Haaaaa!
Greta has finally gone back to covering Iraq, althou with a noted lack of enthusiasm.
I am leaving the thread for a while and am going to watch this in the family roo, where I can lay on the couch.
I will check in from time to time throughout the night.
