You know, you're right! Kind of like when the Statue of Hussein fell, only greater in scope.

Greg Kelly (sp?) of Fox was fantastic, wasn't he? Man--what history we are witnessing--together. Awesome!

Hasn't the super bowl been played yet?

Either way it's a good outcome: the Patriots and the Eagles. :-)

...the all nighters waiting for the B-52's to show up over Baghdad....and watching the camera on the roof and Achmed trying to fix the shed.

The No-stop light that everyone ran, Dr. Bob Arnet, David Bloom, Michael Kelly, Baghdad Bob, Ceegar Man, the traffic circle, Pretty Chicken, the prayer call that sounded like screeching cats, car alarms every time a bomb went off, Greg Kelly surprising us by popping up in the middle of Baghdad...SO many memories.

And just think. That was only 20 months ago! When you look at it like that, it's amazing how far they've come.

"that is why most older Germans and Eastern Europeans get it.....they lived through it"

You're spot on. No coincidence that former Iron Curtain countries are supporting us in this war. Germany sadly is too worried about longer vacations and shorter workweeks...

Muir Woods is one of the most stunning places I've ever been by the way...

And that was pre-Fox days. Reading people talk about the Berlin Wall falling... can you imagine if we would have had a resource like Fox then?

I remember the Thunder Runs!

Greta has finally gone back to covering Iraq, althou with a noted lack of enthusiasm.

I am leaving the thread for a while and am going to watch this in the family roo, where I can lay on the couch.

I will check in from time to time throughout the night.
