I loved the cartoon showing Iraq walking on water. I wasn't sure that was water...

You could be right. Might be a hot bed of coals. Either way, walking the path is never easy, and still takes faith.
Thanks. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks! Leave it to Ruthie to cut to the heart of the issue: "One enemy is plenty." Have a good weekend.

Yet, here in the US we only occasionally do better than that for presidential elections, never get near that for congessional elections & we're not voting under the threat of being killed!!!

Maybe I don't get it ... this one seems to compare hate-filled islamic fanatics to Christian creationists. I guess I just don't see the humor in that.

I'm thinking that the hate-filled islamic fanatic looks sad in the 2nd frame because the other guy can't find anything related to his statement...

Maybe I don't get it ... this one seems to compare hate-filled islamic fanatics to Christian creationists. Nothing in the cartoon indicates that the guy in the turban is a "hate-filled Islamic fanatic". You read that into it yourself.
Instead, he's an Islamic version of Falwell/Robertson and their statement that God "allowed" 9/11 "to give us probably what we deserve".
I guess I just don't see the humor in that.
Having engaged in discussions with a number of Creationists, *I* see the humor in it.

Sad commentary on GOP expenditures from the party of small government! What Republicans need is a hefty injection of fiscal libertarianism!
Good toons as always, pookie! Keep up the good work.

Okay, I see your point. I guess the fact that the creationist is seriously looking for it is what bothers me.

It is a sad state that the republican administration is on a spending spree but I have hopes it will be curtailed somewhat from here on.
We'll see.
