Support Georgia's right to have a REAL vote on their state flag... The only vote issued did not include the flag that sparked all the controversay in the first place!.
In addition, only 6% of registered voters showed up at the polls, BECAUSE the real Georgia state flag wasn't included in the referendum!!
There is currently a bill that has just been filed with the Georgia State House to allow the real flag to be included in a statewide vote, as well as the current flag.
No matter your feeling on the flag personally... There SHOULD BE a vote on this state flag. After all it is the people of the state of georgia that the flag represents! Right is right, and the people should have a vote on their stolen state flag.
RINO governor (the liar) Perdue, who will be defeated in his re election attempt in 2006, has vowed that this bill will be killed in comittee.
Lets see that that doesn't happen:

Also check the January Lobbying Checklist update which is being updated tonight.
If you do not know what your new district number is or who your new Representative is after the elections and redistricting, check the January Lobbying checklist or visit the poll locator on the Secretary of State's web site.
Please call your Representative, especially if they are on the Governmental Affairs Committee and politely, just tell them that you want a FAIR Vote. You want them to support the FAIR Vote bill, HB15. If your Representative is on this committee also tell them that you would like for them to report HB15 out with a recommendation to pass in a timely manner.
Pass this on to others, now is the time to support A FAIR Vote, click here.

;-)
Again, I don't see my position as caving in to the PC gestapo. I simply believe that what you want the flag to symbolize differs greatly from what is actually the perception of others, and in that case, it's a poor form of expression. If I was caving in to the PC gestapo, I would attack you for expressing pride in being Southern at all, and that is most decidedly not my position. And while there is lots of talk about caving in to the PC gestapo, I believe the truculence exhibited by most supporters of flag makes them equally guilty of the censorship they claim to be fighting. You cannot make a reasoned argument against the flag without being called "an anti-Southern bigot", "Yankee", "snivelling coward" or much worse. Perhaps you should consider for a moment that my convictions, and others who happen to agree with me on this issue, are every bit as strong as yours.
At this point, I believe we have both made our points and are now talking in circles on this issue. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this, but I do wish you well, however misguided I might believe you to be. :-)
You may not like how things are now, but a look around the world may confirm that breaking up the country into smaller ones is likely to make things worse rather than better. Freedom for like-thinking people to impose whatever rules they prefer isn't always compatible with real liberty for individuals, as history shows.
If flying the Confederate battle flag or naval jack isn't a non-political tribute to brave men who fought and died years ago, but a statement in favor of disunion, it's hard to see how this will help advance your cause with most Americans or most Southerners.
I agree.
I like the new flag and these 'flaggots' (as Neal Boortz calls them) can go piss up a rope.
hey sweetie, pumpkin, sugar pie, the current flag is the flag that is divisive.
I was born in Emory Hospital on January 19 (Robt. E. Lee's birthday) in 1952 and I agree with you 100%.
Not only am I a member of the UDC and the DAR, but I am a Georgia voter.
Not only am I a Southerner, but I even know how to spell the word.
Most of us in Georgia are quite happy with our current flag, we're tired of the entire issue, and we don't want any more of our tax dollars spent on more new flags or more referendums, and....
We wish to hell that people who don't even live in our state would quit agitating and trying to stir up controversy where there is none!
So could you please shut up and go away now? Thanks in advance.
That should be said again....and so I will
We wish to hell that people who don't even live in our state would quit agitating and trying to stir up controversy where there is none!
Oh BTW....take a hike, Okie.
You have none.
Ergo....you are NOT a Southerner.
Real Southern gentlemen would not think of speaking to a Southern woman in that manner.
I don't know what you are, but it's not a Southern gentleman.
Go away.
ohh and this isin't a spelling contest I'm trying to defend the south from a hundred south haters at once, Grammar isin't expected to be perfect.
Your post led me to check out the history of the flags of Georgia. Apparently, Georgia has had at least eight state flags in the past.
Which one of those many flags is the one that you are calling the real flag and how do you know that it's the the real real flag? ;-)
Okie, if I'm not mistaken, you've already had one post removed for using similar language.
Your use of ad hominems and abusive language is not only a violation of posting rules, but reflects poorly on the "Southern heritage" you claim to promote.
If you are going to claim to represent Southerners, I wish you'd act as if you had some manners.
It would also be nice if you'd check your typing before you post. Your misspellings and grammatical errors look really ignorant, and you know the rest of the country already believes we're stupid and hateful. No need in giving them more ammunition.
Maybe you didn't notice it, but my last post contained a link to a web page showing that Georgia has had several state flags in its history. Now, if neither one of us (you or me) knows which one of those state flags is the state flag you've been calling the real flag (and I don't know which one of those state flags is the the state flag you've been calling the real flag), then I guess it's fair to conclude that neither of us knows what we're talking about here.
Right? ;-)
