I'll be the first to admit that the king isn't the second coming of George Washington, but you'd have to be a complete dimwit to believe that Abdullah II is the crux of the problem facing the Arab-Muslim Middle East. Oh, I certainly agree. The problem is they are dimwits. They are so anti-Bush they can't think straight. And really, the press is never more clueless than when they're talking about foreign policy. If we'd listened to them during the Cold War, everybody in Europe would be speaking Russian these days.

Question about delay in finding a Director of Homeland Security.
President should have noated that whoever is nominated will be delayed by partisans in the Senate,

Bayh is getting the rat base to pay attention to him. He has fired a shot across the bow in the 2008 rat nomination sweepstakes. He's in.

Some reporter named "Ken" is welcomed by GWB and I didn't catch the little exchange completely but the reporter says "As you know, many of us became reporters because of our deep affection for math", question re Social Security and how the math shows it's in trouble and needs reform.
GWB responding.

Could be.

I was really steamed at Bayh too. I was foolish enough to think Bayh was a good guy. I thought he was even tempered and fair. All that changed yesterday.
I called Bayh's office twice yesterday to complain about him. If he is going after the 2008 nomination he just blew it big time.
His office number is 202-224-5623

...Quagmire Continues
It is such an outright LIE when libs cry that we are stuck in a quagmire. A quagmire is something that you are trying to remove yourself from but can't. That is nothing like the situation our military is in currently in Iraq. At no point did we ever have a plan to exit before free elections in Iraq. We are not trying to leave Iraq yet. The fact that we are taking casualties does not turn this situation into a quagmire. We knew we would have casualties. Anybody who thought we wouldn't is insane. The number of casualties, while tragic for the loved ones of those who perished, is much smaller than anyone predicted we would suffer in the first week or two alone. This is not a quagmire. People like Ted Kennedy and company who claim it is are sleazoids of the highest degree!

I want background checks on all these "reporters" before they are admitted to the press room and in the presence of our President. It will be so interesting to document that THEY are not perfect.

Giggles from press--thank you for that! The cats were chasing through the house and knocked over a stack of books--missed that part. Well, I'm giggling too. Someone from CBS, talking about lying...snicker!

Bush is ON FIRE with some of these stupid reporters.....

Yes, I saw Senator Dayton freaking out about Condi last night. He is a first class twit. But I think we Illinoisans (I know about Snowe and Collins because I grew up in Maine) have him beat with Dick "Eddie Haskell" Durbin.
