...the public prominence of such dovish figures as Michael Moore.

In what universe is Michael Moore a "dove"? He's a full-throated hawk -- for the terrorists.

The dems have only one agenda. Lie to the people.

Lie to the people.

Lie to the people.

By now they must realize that these lies are not resonating with real Americans.

So I say, let them lie lie and lie somemore.

Soon there will be no dems left.

This will be an ongoing problem for the Dems. They will continue to be a two faced party as long as they have to court the anti establishment anti war extreme left.

The bottom line is that they just have no concrete message to sell to the American people. Republicans attack problems, Democrats just attack republicans. Expect them to lose more seats in the next midterm election as it seems to me that they remain adrift at sea as long as the extreme left of the party, Boxer, Kennedy and Pelosi continue to receive the focus of the msm.

Recovery? ROFL! The Democrats are still stuck in denial!

This always makes me think of Douglas Adams's "Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal, which is such a mind-bogglingly stupid animal that it is incapable of learning from experience and is therefore surprised by everything that happens to it."

I'll just wrap a towel around my head so they can't see me.

Sounds right to me.

It ain't the democRAT lies that bother me so much. It's the fact that they don't have enough respect for me to tell good lies. They think they can say any stupid thing and I'll believe it, even when they said the opposite thing the day before.
The "values voters" aren't only concerned with the Dims alliance with fruits and nuts. John F-ing Kerry, and Gore before him, didn't really believe in anything. A person with no set values can't be relied upon to act correctly in unexpected circumstances. Values are a crystal ball on a person's future actions.

Besides there is much more evidence of voter fraud in Wisconsin (which Senator Kerry won by a mere 14000 votes) than in Ohio.

And of course the GOP operatives won't be pointing this out

It should be shouted from the roof tops

The Dems are always on the offense and the GOP does zilch

If it wasn't for the Swift Boat Vets on the attack I shudder to think where we would be today

Democrats and liberal elites on the Left, the Republicans in the middle, and the voters out to their Right

Excellent Analysis... The only pundit that has this figured out is Mr. Newt, who predicted that Bush would win because he was to the LEFT of the average American.

The time is right for new conservative party. It should start within the Republican Party and put up conservative candidates in the primaries to force the pubs to the right. Eventually this party becomea the conservatives, the Republican party the left, and the Democrats swallowed by the socialists.

They are losing their monopoly and they can't stand it. No matter how hard they try to convince themselves, Fox News isn't going anywhere. Rush Limbaugh isn't going anywhere. The Passion of the Christ isn't going anywhere.
It's funny how much the American people embrace conservatism when there is a free exchage in the marketplace of IDEAS!
When that marketplace doesn't exist for conservatives (as it didn't much through the 60s, 70s and 80s), they get defeated. But when the American people hear what we stand for (regardless of what the mainstream media and Hollywood think), they embrace our ideas.

Good Point. I really didn't have a clue what kind of pres J. Friggin' Kerry would have been. He never showed himself. His answer to "who are you" would have been "who do yo want me to be?"

There is no saving the democrats. They thought the nation was ready to see them for their real selves and they were wrong. It is all due to their arrogance/ignorance combination. It's like they kicked open the door on the peep show booth and now we all know what they were doing in there.

You miss the point, and it is not the author's point either. This is not about the Democrat party learning why they lost and reforming themselves. That would be a hopeless task.

This is about the MSM advertising for free and repackaging the Democrat party for a Hillary Clinton run in 2008. The midterm elections will be very important in terms of building momentum.

And all the while this transformation occurs...the Dems win every election because the conservative vote is divided.

If you ever listen to the callers on CSPIN you will know exactly to whom the dems are spewing.
