You guys did great work during the campaign, Takoma. Oh, by the way, as I type I am enjoying 73 degrees here in Upland. I had fun but it's good to be home.
Thank you DFU for taking the time to give us this great report of your experiences there in DC. I must say that I am jealous :-)
Great report on the ball.
Great job on the webcast Doug! Those at home were able to get a little taste of "The Ball"!
Great account and report, Doug ~ thanks!
I had a medium rare fillet mignon steak last night!
Best of luck to you guys facing tough weather. It is not fun. A playoff game in Boston in a blizzard should be interesting.
**standing and cheering**
Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!!!!
Thanks for sharing! :o)
I'm 57. My dad and his dad died at 58 of heart attacks. I've not had meat or chicken since 1991. Last year's body scan showed zero heart disease. I'll stick with the Omega3 in salmon, but I have learned a lesson about eating while broadcasting and trying to quietly swallow without much chewing. Damn the audience. Next time they will hear chewing.
Doug, you are too sweet! It was wonderful to finally meet you and I was happy to broadcast with you.
Glad you got home safe. Buried in a snowdrift here. Sigh.
KD
Yes, Gadfly, we finally met. I would have loved to be in that elevator with TaRayZa and her gigolo. I should have let you have the mic alone for awhile so I could have gotten some dessert. As if I need it.:) Stay warm.
That's right you said something about that before ~ we are responsible for our well being. :)
I'm 74 and eat red meat every day, pork (the other white meat) almost as much and chicken and shell fish the rest of the time ~ no fish with scales out side of a little halibut fish and chips a couple of time a year. :)
My heart and cholesterol are perfect; I think it's hereditary, too.
I'm sure if you had succumbed, you would have gotten a full state FR funeral, complete with salmon-bone engraving on your tombstone.
I didn't get to meet you and I'm sorry for that. Having a blizzard in Michigan now and still tired from the excitement of Washington. I can relate to some of what you said about the transportation factor!
Welcome back home to California, DFU.
Thanks for the live broadcast from the FReeper Ball. You did a terrific job and KD's accounts of the elevator ride was presented in a way that we were all in the elevator with her.
Hi doug,
No apology is required. The Canteeners heard your live show and the thread was active from that point on. You did very well!
Man, if I'd known you were hungry I'd have brought you a plate of spinich.
DJ's need strength especially FReepin' DJ's.
I have booked extra time in studio for March
and we'll get a top flight master out to you.
Pick out 12 tunes you want
on the CD and we'll "git 'er done"
BTW: My thanks to Mudboy for the pick up in Richmond and his guiding this ol' country boy from Fairfield County thru the maze that is Metro. You and he are fine examples of FReepers. I am glad to know you and happy we have met.
Keep up the good work, doug!
Carry on.
Yes, a lot of it is in the genes.
But at least you got to meet another Hog Wild FReeper --- even though he tried to do you in with the salmon! [BG]
