Thanks for the ping Tonk--been waiting for something like this...
Done.
It was so much fun creating the book. Hillary is next.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad the Canteen enjoyed it. Next time I have to meet some of you.
" And to the gigolo, if you are lurking here -- you are a disgrace to the uniform you wore. Some of the truth has finally been revealed. There is more to come. You and Fonda should have been in prison for what you did to this nation and the men who served it well. No, they were not crazed baby killers. They were and are heroes, unlike you. These heroes finally got their real welcome home on the first Tuesday in November, in the year of our Lord, 2004. From ONE FINE SOLDIER -- "John O'Neill and the Swiftvets...you will never know finer men."

Thanks, doug from upland, for the best ever report (and I think I read most if not all of them)!
Thanks for the kind words, JLO. I hope you are not freezing in Minnesota.
It was so fun to be there. I can't believe I went this long in life before seeing an inauguration. I should have gone for Reagan.
We finally met! May your wedding later this year be a joyous and wonderful occasion. Maybe we should do a Rightalk show from there. I could keep my voice low like during a golf tournament broadcast. :)
Ok what book about John kerry? What am I missing? It was funny on the Metro, the people who live in Washington were asking where we were going and we said "We're going to the Swearing In and then the FreeRepublic.com ball!!" All smiles of course, then they would just scowl and say "oh" and turn their heads.
Bump!
Now that's an old habit all of us should bring back into use. Calling the year 2005 A.D. or 2005 Anno Domino instead of the PC crap of CE for common era. If we all did it it would drive the left even more batty.
My pleasure, connie. I was so excited about finally meeting Gary Aldrich. His book should have stopped the Clintons. Too bad is was pre-FReeRepublic.

Lyrics for some of us who are QuickTime challenged, lol.

Lyrics by doug from upland
Music Composers:Lambert-Potter
Listen, people, to the story of the man who won the day
We had really dodged a bullet...with his men he led the way
When he learned that John Forbes Kerry had been working on a plan
He could never let that happen...that man's unfit for command
DemocRATS would launch their salvos...he stood up to every blow
They used every dirty tactic...but they could not make him go
Risked his life once for his country...and stepped up again
John O'Neill and the SwiftVets...you'll never know finer men
All the lefties got together and they said these men had lied
They would not debate the substance...John Forbes Kerry still denied
We watched the charade keep on going...records he would not reveal
Brokaw, Jennings, and Dan Rather thought that it was no big deal
DemocRATS would launch their salvos...he stood up to every blow
They used every dirty tactic...but they could not make him go
Risked his life once for his country...and stepped up again
John O'Neill and the SwiftVets...you'll never know finer men
Voters finally paid attention...Kerry's wounded, and it showed
This man was a fake and phony...from his mouth the anger flowed
On a fateful day it happened...on a Tuesday in '04
That is when he was rejected...Kerry had been shown the door
DemocRATS would launch their salvos...he stood up to every blow
Ping!
Ok now I remember having known this at one time. Thanks for refreshing my memory
Were you able to spend much time with him during the party? I hope he knows just how much support he has with people like us out here.
I hardly had any time to socialize. Too bad I could not have been inside the room during the broadcast. I wouldhave probably stayed on longer and gotten FReepers on the air.
