Illinois churches are protesting a new state law that bars them from "discriminating" against homosexuals, contending it robs Christians of their First Amendment freedoms.
Gov. Rod Blagojevich signed the bill into law yesterday amid a demonstration led by the Illinois Family Institute, or IFI, a non-profit group affiliated with Focus on the Family, Family Research Council and Alliance Defense Fund.
The measure adds "sexual orientation" to the state law that bars discrimination based on race, religion and similar traits in areas such as jobs and housing.
The bill was signed to loud cheers and a standing ovation from about 150 homosexual-rights supporters who see it as a human-rights issue. ...

Calm yourselves everyone.
You, nor anyone/any organization , has to rent to or hire any particular person.
You must simply refuse to discuss your reasons for refusing such an application. --
-- Say; - "I'm sorry, your application has been denied, and I am unable, by law, to discuss the reasons for denial."
-- Repeat as necessary till the applicant gives up.

Not needed, If God wants to punish or eliminate the homosexuals and lib judges He would simply target them and send but one of His legion. Remember He did this to the Egyptions, killing the first born son of those without the blood mark on their door posts. Amen.

I understand about their agenda, and I know about Nambla. It is a perverted lifestyle, with no future for society. I know a number of gay men, and women. Living where I do, and being involved in the studios.
They want desperately to be normanlized. Considered part of mainstream America.

Homosexual Agenda Ping - Gotta get a few of these out.
I hope everyone sees the contradiction between homosexuality being forced down everyone's throats - either by judicidal fiat, homo-promoting legislation, or mass media and school indoctrination - and freedom of expression, freedom of religion, and freedom of association. Oh, and freedom to act according to one's conscience.
In order to force "acceptance" of perversion on the population, fascist thought control must be enforced. How long, how long will people tolerate this destruction of personal liberty and basic human moral values?
Let me and DirtyHarryY2K know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

"just outrageous. HOwever, I fear there aren't enough people in Illinois who'll care about this enough to change the state's voting patterns in the next elections. If Kerry didn't bother them, why will this? I hope your fear is unfounded... where are the good people in Illinois? Ping please. The time to rise up is now.
Good points about why liberals don't go after Muslims...they know Muslims will slit their throats, whereas Christians will not. This just goes to show liberals are huge cowards. Islam is far more opposed to the liberal agenda than Christianity is, but they attack Christians because we're an easy target that fights back in non-lethal ways. Liberals, deep down, aren't willing to die for their cause."
Yes, liberals are cowards. They have no backbone, no foundation except their own selfish desires. They aren't willing to die for their cause, they expect others to die for them.

"I am interested to see how this will be enforced." The enemy doesn't have a leg to stand on. They are counting on the good people of Illinois to yawn and go back to sleep... to do nothing.

"Free speech has been eliminated in Canada and parts of Europe thanks to the homosexual agenda. Now, religious freedom has fallen in the state of Illinois." Encroachment will continue if good people do nothing.

Worth repeating.

"They want desperately to be normanlized. Considered part of mainstream America." It's sad to want to drag everyone down with them so they can pretend homosexuality is normal. This is an extremely selfish attitude, and totally out of touch with reality.

"Well then, Christians must apply at Homosexual businesses, publications, etc. Turn the table...Let's see how they like it when they're forced to hire someone they don't agree with or might harm their business. At the first sign of discrimination, sue their asses off." I like that idea... but first we have to fix the problem of activist judges.

"Perhaps your search came up empty because you changed the article's headline, a definite FR no-no :)" My bad. I copied and pasted the wrong thing from World Net Daily. Their teaser to the article does not always carry the title of the article, which is what I copied. And, FWIW, the other poster did not unnecessarily excerpt the article.
I'm new here, haven't had an account even a full month yet. I thought we were supposed to excerpt articles here--that posting the full article could cause copyright problems. Are you saying it's OK to post the text of the whole article?
I have another question, too, while we are on it... I notice there are lots of new keywords on my thread here, crazy ones that I did not post. Where did they come from? Can anyone add keywords to anyone else's postings?
