Law forces churches to hire homosexuals

Illinois churches are protesting a new state law that bars them from "discriminating" against homosexuals, contending it robs Christians of their First Amendment freedoms.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich signed the bill into law yesterday amid a demonstration led by the Illinois Family Institute, or IFI, a non-profit group affiliated with Focus on the Family, Family Research Council and Alliance Defense Fund.

The measure adds "sexual orientation" to the state law that bars discrimination based on race, religion and similar traits in areas such as jobs and housing.

The bill was signed to loud cheers and a standing ovation from about 150 homosexual-rights supporters who see it as a human-rights issue. ...

So the fact is, the Mosques are already filled to the brim with practising homosexuals.

Actually, as was once explained to me, in the twisted logic of their culture, only the person sodomized is considered to be homosexual, while the sodomizer is absolved and not tainted with the same label.

I thought we were supposed to excerpt articles here

Only from some sites...

Can anyone add keywords to anyone else's postings?

Yep.

Hang in there - you're doing fine...your duplicate post got more responses than mine did. ;-)

Yes, it is sad. Unfortunately, their kind of lifestyle does not make families and add to the future well being of our nation. At least by natural means.

I think I understand... the "hostile" sites.

"Hang in there - you're doing fine...your duplicate post got more responses than mine did. ;-)"

Thanks! I think I am getting the hang of it. I think half of the responses on this thread are my own!

My goodness. I was wondering where keyword "URANUSINVADERS" came from... I certainly didn't put it there.

My bad. I copied and pasted the wrong thing from World Net Daily.

Not too worry. But you've now seen why changing a headline is a no-no.

I thought we were supposed to excerpt articles here--that posting the full article could cause copyright problems. Are you saying it's OK to post the text of the whole article?

Several thoughts:
1. Some we have to excerpt, some we don't.
2. The posting page automatically traps articles that need to be excerpted. So, post the entire article and let the software trap that it needs to be excerpted.
3. Here's a link to a list of publications that require excerpting or not posting anything from them.

I notice there are lots of new keywords on my thread here, crazy ones that I did not post. Where did they come from? Can anyone add keywords to anyone else's postings?

Sure. There's a "Click to Add Keyword" link at the end of the keywords.

always the lie told by liberals/Democrats when they pass laws to COERCE
people to violate their consciences...

Exactly, unless it's a case of abuse in the church, as in priests abusing kids, and even then it is handled within the church if possible. The state has no jurisdiction. None! All the church has to do is ignore the law, and let the ACLU take them to court. They will win. Just hope the churches know that.

My prediction may soon come true! What a sick frickin' world we now live in!!!

That is already law. In fact Americans are boycotting business who force homosexuality policies on their employees, and they are told the companies will not tolerate discrimination.

Until we force congress to remove behavior as a civil right, we can't stop them.

We don't have a civil right to commit adultery, to lie, covet thy neighbors wife, or possessions, view pornography or any of a million sins. Do we all sin? of course we are human. However, we don't seek to sin as a civil right, and we do not require others to give our behavior recognition as normal or ask the government to endorse it.

If there is a "separation of church and state" as liberals profess, how could the government have the right to force a church to do anything?

They don't, but how many churches know that?

Thank you WIlliam. I posted this on another thread, but will post it here too, since it has a link for action that can be taken, and I urge everyone to take that action. The time is NOW!

Thanks for the note, Gidget. Since you mentioned the governor and the homosexual rights bill, I take it you are from my state, Illinois, is that correct? If so, you should know that we're going to take some action here, including ensuring that the supporters of this bill, particularly Republicans and Democrats where their seats are considered vulnerable, are going to face the fight of their life at the ballot box next year. I'm even considering challenging my state senator for co-sponsoring this crap. Illinois Family is planning a legal challenge and it looks like they may have some solid ground here. Also, we're going to see if we can churches mobilized, a tough task.

I have a downstate pastor who sent me the ACLU of Illinois' report for 2003-04 and this report notes their involvement in crafting legislation for this sodomite bill. The ACLU is extremely dangerous and we are going to do something to expose their efforts here.

There's other things in the hopper as well that some of us are pondering. So if you are indeed in Illinois and want to get involved in stopping this, let me know and I'll update you further.

God bless and I sure appreciate your support.

Nedd

Thanks for your help upchuck. I appreciate it.

One problem, though. The link you reference that has the list of publications not to post from ... I think it's not working.
