MAJOR WINTER STORM OUTLOOKED FOR THE SOUTHEAST THIRD OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND

"Outlooked"?

"Southeast third of southern New England" ?? No sure where that is (from the words, anyway).

We're having a major snow storm here in Wisconsin today but since we aren't on the east coast or the west coast no one cares except the local news readers who are breathlessly telling us the world will end in a bout half-an-hour (2pm central) from now.

Usually, when they get this hyped up, the storm misses us.

I figure this one will be good for 6-10 in the Philly suburbs. Usually the ones that really cream us come up from the deep south and drag a bunch of Gulf moisture with them. This one is tracking in from the NW and West.

It basically depends now on how fast it moves. Accuweather is doing some serious bet-hedging - forecasting 6-12 with a possibility of up to 18 inches.

No major precip down here (Atlanta), but it's gonna get cold again after lunchtime tomorrow...

By the time I get up to go to church Sunday, the wind-chill is supposed to be near zero...

Just for fun I keep this site in my weather bookmarks.

Right now it's 17 below, with a steady wind of 65 MPH.

Makes me feel warmer.

I live and work in the Washington, DC area, so I clicked on the link, within your post, for more information about the weather in the Washington, DC area.

To my surprize and horror, I was taken to a page tyhat said "City Not Found"!

Do you know something I ought to know?

Just to give some contrast to conditions in the North, right now its 77 degrees and partly cloudy on the Gulf Coast. I think I'm gonna have a nice ice cold beer on the back porch after work.

I am praying for you all. God Bless.
