Read it earlier but didn't have anything useful to add. To which Mr. SOS do you refer?

Well, while my grandmother was not a ganster moll, she did enjoy going to the honky tonks on the Meramec River in Valley Park during Prohibition!

I have a very bad feeling about this.

Jesse Jackson Jr. is setting up a run for mayor of Chicago and is building his campaign based on repeated news conferences with accusations against the current mayor being involved in political scandals.

No one doubts that Chicago/Illinois Democrat politics are as corrupt as they come. What I think is happening, however, is that Jesse and company are using their obvious insider knowledge to set up a palace coup within the corrupt Democrat mafia, not to depose that mafia.

It reminds me a bit of the internal power plays in the Roman court surrounding Tiberius and Caligula. Tiberius was undoubtedly a murderous child molesting evil pig, but he was deposed in favor of Caligula. Not exactly a step up.

We can always hope that there is a Claudius lurking in the wings, shuffling and stuttering his way safely through Chicago wards, writing his histories.

I can't remember his full name right now. nickname is timoteo and he's 6'4", 240lbs, "sleepy" tattooed on the left side of his neck, runs with a white chick, tear drop tattoo under his left eye. Some kind of make believe brother to a guy who was shot and killed after a car chase a few years ago.

The family was seen on the local news saying things like "street justice..." and someone anonymously called one of the TPD precincts and threatened a bunch of officers by name a while back.

I remember all that from the bulletin but can't remember his real name. LOL

East St. Louis is totally crazy- It is quite scary to drive through there at night- in a city 60,ooo plus there are only a handful of gas stations, restaurants, bars and retail stores/pawn shops- oh and also a casino-
I generally sometimes like to go hang out at the "Louzz" (Club Illusion) when I get back - but man you have to 30 to get in- Some nights its all older croud man- they might as well make the age 40-

HHHHmmmmmm First they clean up East Chicago (Lake County Indiana---last summer), now they make arrest in East St Louis (Illinois)....I'd say somebody should be feeling a little nervous.

There's some parts of Illinois I wouldn't even want to set foot in. Scary.

Surprisingly, the city of Chicago is a great place to visit and quite safe. It's beautiful, interesting, friendly, cultural and has great food and entertainment. Nothing beats the sight of the Greco-style museums and the marinas along the lake front on a bright sunny summer day.

Chicago is a fantastic vacation center.....and the city thrives despite the Daley machine lineage. Guess it's midwestern hard work and the bracing (ouch) winters, LOL.

"Why in Gods name would they make fake votes in Illinois?"

Force of habit. It's SOP.

I understand this, but Obama won 70% of the vote, and Kerry won over 55%. There is no way they actually needed any of those votes. It's just not possible.

You forgot to mention that Chicago once had a professional football team.

EAST ST. LOUIS is not in Missouri. It's in Illinois.
