CONGRATULATIONS PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH!!!!
Continuous coverage on C-SPAN. Spotty everywhere else.
How sad and surprising to hear this about Peggy.
Speaking of Botox Babs, I didn't see her today - -Do you think she's hiding in shame?? (O.k. Truth be told, I didn't see all of the proceedings, but, I did see the Senate walk in and figured she'd want to be right up front and wear something bright to be noticed (like Pelosi's bright pink).
I think every FReeper is having a good time tonight except the designated curmudgeon.
You are absolutely correct; in fact, I have always had the opinion that she has 'just' a bit of "Bill Kristol disease."
You know, those who did NOT get a call from the White House with a job offer.
To me, it's not different than Woodward and Bernstein rushing out each and every time to say "No, this scandal is NOT as big as Watergate."
Tony did a fabulous job contradicting this assessment G.W. is not a Uniter. He increased the House and Senate. He added Hispanics, Blacks, jews, catholics, etc...totals exceeded over 2000 even in "Blue states". May keep winning people over as they start to say he's not such a bad guy, like his proposals, like his vision.
Don King is so enthusiastic. LOL
Hey, as Ron Silver been seen anywhere? I miss seeing him making the rounds on the shows.
Thank You!
Thank You!
Night Miss Marple
I will bet you cash money that Peggy Noonan did not write that speech.
Teasing a bit about the first couple going "home to bed...."
Cheney NEVER told Imus that we would take it into Iran. After he suggested we may have to go to the UN to get sanctions in placem he added that Israel may take matters into their own hands with or without our consent and that was troubling to this administration.
Doesn't Peggy's column usually run in the WSJ on Thursday?
Maybe she'll have one tomorrow on the speech. I didn't hear any of her comments, but I would be very surprised if she didn't like this one. She's as much of an idealist as the president.
I didn't see that...oh how funny....
Great pictures....I'm lovin' tonight. ;o) What a great evening...and what a really great day...just loved our President's speech.
I know I am! I've had a great day! Just wondering of I ran into the "dsignated curmudeon" on a thread yesterday? Something about designer gowns and more fashion sense? I sure got "chewed out".
Peggy is a good wordsmith, but some of her writing is a bit too precious for my taste.
That's it for me. Off to bed.
Here's the link where I've been getting the pictures. If someone wants to carry on, just refresh every few minutes.
That's the problem with Peggy. What she writes, and what she says on TV, are two different things. And she ought to start to realize that there are people who are paying attention.
This is live from the smoking lounge (the bar) at the Freeper Ball. Gov. Huckabee is playing in the next room-- there are about 700 people here. I just ran into Registered and MAF, who had just arrived.
Kristinn says 'hi'. Jim says, "we're having a ball at the ball."
Later.
