Re Sally Quinn: Can't these people throw theier OWN parties, or do they just wish to mooch off the White House?

I'm sure they do throw parties, but I think they resent the lack of socializing by the Bush group because they're being kept from the hub of power .. they can't make their deals. Just my 2-1/2 cents .. ;)

I thought she took leave from the WSJ to work for "W".. Maybe she didn't want to be too positive about the speech because she wrote it and wanted to see how others precieved it: didn't want to toot her own horn....Thus her comment about "taking some time"....

Oh man! That video of the President and First Lady dancing with the two soldiers just brought tears to my eyes. They are such CLASSY people!! That young lady and young man will remember that all their lives! I thought it was cute when some guy yelled to the soldier dancing with Laura, "Don't be shy!"

Oh yes she did say, she didn't join the campaign till after the Republican convention, and she went to work for the President. I'd forgotten that, but thanks for reminding me.
