On the eve of the presidential inauguration, US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton last night embraced an issue some pundits say helped seal a second term for George W. Bush: acceptance of the role of faith in addressing social ills.
In a speech at a fund-raising dinner for a Boston-based organization that promotes faith-based solutions to social problems, Clinton said there has been a "false division" between faith-based approaches to social problems and respect for the separation of church of state.
"There is no contradiction between support for faith-based initiatives and upholding our constitutional principles," said Clinton, a New York Democrat who often is mentioned as a possible presidential candidate in 2008.

This is a smart, and very scary, woman who has read-- no, worshipped--at the feet of Saul Alinsky. She understands, better than almost all the rest of the left, how to dress up moderate and she's doing it years in advance. With a fawning media, her transformation will be complete by 2008.

I do wish something could done about her voice. I expect we will he hearing a lot from "Hill", and her pipes make me squirm. Ugh.
The devil may be in the details of her ideas but the sound bites sound right on the mark on these two items.
It's an old political ploy.
Support the other side's programs, then claim the programs were good but didn't do quite enough............
Then campaign on fixing them with massive spending.
Kind of like the medicare drug program..............
Change the wording of that around a bit and you have exactly what has been happening under Bush.
At the inauguration, she was bobbing her head in beat with music. Bubba was looking at her like: "What a doof".
Yup. She's moving to the center...just like her so-called support for immigration control so she can get herself elected in '08. Mrs. Clinton is a Saul Alinsky communist, traitor, and power-hungry woman who would waste no time in auditing and harassing, via government agencies, right-wing organizations, political and religious, should she become POTUS.
Hopefully, a Swift Vet-type organization courageous enough to call her out on her ultra-left-wing past and utter hypocrisy will finance commercials exposing this phoney "moderate." Her own words and actions can be used against her.
And the Old Media will be less of a help than it thinks since the Pajamahadeen will be on the look out.
