Before reading the other posts...I took a vacation day from work and took my grand daughter shopping. We bought three pairs of new shoes(size 5),

a pair of overalls

and a walking/driving toy that plays annoying songs and revs like an SUV. (similar to this one, but my grandbaby is much cuter.

Then we went to an Italian Restaurant and she gummed some breadsticks while I enjoyed chicken parmesan. I went to this particular spot because it is in a trendy neighborhood and I thought I might get good service if the lefty's we're truly "not spending a dime" but the place was packed and they were showing the inauguration on FNC. (We'll, we are a red state.)

We came home in time to surf through the MSM's coverage of the protestors in the park and some lame packages about democrats in disarray.

As we snuggled into our nap, the baby freshly fed and bathed, I dwelled on the comforts of having a daughter who is staunchly pro life. Just a lovely day.

I am buying a new Brooks Brothers suit and some non-iron shirts on-line tonight. I also think I will get double cheese on double Whataburger tonight. That ought to cancel out about a dozen DU'ers and fill my belly at the same time!

Paying the electrician and CH&A guys for jobs completed on my new house under construction: 138,000 dimes

Sent my son back to college for spring semester: Mucho $$$dinero

Going to dinner tonight with my wife, her mom & dad, and her brother and wife: 1,000 dimes or so

Seeing the pathetic miserable look on the faces of leftist liberals all day long during this day of celebration: priceless

Bought a new TV I've been meaning to buy for the spare room. Went to Home Depot and bought a laser light level and some ice melt for the coming storm. Stopped by Penney's and picked up 3 pair of some fuzzy, comfy socks for mom, sis and me. All in all, not a bad day.
