As we get close the inaguration,we should have some fun. I would like to know who is your favorite President(s) and the reason why.
Mine: George Washington.
Reason: Father of this country. Put down a rebellion without firing a shot (the whiskey rebellion), wisely kept us out of the French Revolution despite the call to intervene, wasn't very power hungry he only serveed two terms. Also encoured westward expansion.

Ronald Reagan
He restored America's pride in itself and won the Cold War against the communists. He was the greatest president of the last century.

George Washington is an interesting man. You can almost say that no one in their lifetime was larger than life than this man alone. IIRC, the story about the one member of the convention that told everyone he was going to pat Mr Washington on the back the next day, but when he went to do it he chickened out?

However, I gotta go with Reagan, I was born under his Presidency =) as well as what he accomplished.

Yikes, I'm gonna take some heat for this...

Mine: Harry S Truman

Reason: Thrown into a job he knew nothing about, he made the decision to end WWII sooner than later.

He stood up to the rise of Communism (the Marshall Plan, the intervention in Korea) and stood up to the labor unions when the attempted mass strikes in 1947 and 48.

He ran an effective campaign in 1948, winning against such ideological disparate figures like Henry A Wallace, Strom Thurmond and Thomas Dewey.

Lastly, he was a President who truly spoke his mind...even if it wasn't always popular.

Abraham Lincoln, because he's the most like GWB.

Next is Andrew Jackson. If we had a Prez like Jackson now, all those Islamofacists would be dead already.

#1 – Washington who placed his stamp on how the presidency is conducted which largely endures to this day.

#2 – Lincoln who literally did save the nation.
