She is dizzy, almost wobbly. Her head aches, her coughing won't stop, and because she doesn't have enough money she has not filled her four prescriptions nor seen a doctor recently.

But that doesn't stop her.

Soon it will be midnight, and Ipifania Dominguez will be back at work cleaning up blood, bone and fat in the world's largest pork slaughterhouse. She'll be back in the "head room," as she calls it, where meat is cut from pigs' heads.

Random thoughts...

"Americans won't take the jobs" is a lie. The Americans who were replaced by illegal Democrats would take the jobs.

More Americans would compete for the jobs if the wages weren't artifically deflated.

If you're so incompetent that you need my taxes to pay the healthcare costs of your employees, you don't belong in business. Not every business succeeds. Deal with it and work for someone who know what they're doing.

But that's how the market works. Other people are willing to do the job cheaper, so companies hire the cheaper folks. When you go to buy something, do you always go to the most expensive place in town or do you shop around a little bit?

LOL Good explaination. Superiorslots hasn't been the same since the price of his beanie babies crashed on Ebay.

Interesting, a front for labor unions suggesting we let the freemarket determine wages.

Aaaaah, there it is again. You don't like legitimate arguments to the illegal invasion so you blame it on racism.

Once again by invoking racism you have lost the arguement and any credibility.

"her coughing won't stop" but she is handling food? Does anybody else have a problem with this?

This sounds like a job for Guantanmo Bay inmates.

hospitals get paid for something like 30-40% of the ER work they do.

That's not just a problem with illegals. Medicare and Medicaid patient’s reimbursements are grossly inadequate and the cost of treating them is transferred to other payers also.

This is a great article. It shows what types of illegal conditions follow when we allow illegals to work in our country.

If the workers were legal, they could address the illegal conditions such as the unsanitary conditions and the company would be subject to OSHA standards.

The company would also have to raise wages as no legal worker would work for that substandard pay in those substandard conditions.

Allowing illegals in our country is bad, bad, bad.

From what I've read the criminal element is the more common face.

Why is it any different only because this invasion happened over a period of time and not all at once?

Well, first off, because most people that live in America really don't share the obession and real vile feelings with some here regarding these folks. Most of us just want to love our neighbor, go to work everyday and be left alone.

I'm not old enough to remember Jim Crow and segration, but I suspect if you dust off their playbook, you'll find the same agenda, right down to the 'if we let them drink from our fountains, next thing you know they'll be gang raping our daughters'. blah blah blah.

How enlightened and multicultural you cheap labor types are ! How motivated you are only by compassion for the downtrodden even as you struggle to reduce the wages of non-college educated Americans to Third World levels so you can be like feudal lords ! Such compassion ! Why, you must be from Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch !

And to think I thought you were just a profiteer and apologist for rampant criminality.

Well then why don't we just invalidate any other laws we don't happen to like?

Hey, sounds like a great plan! Eliminate the laws we don't agree with, starting with the tax code.

But for $7 or $8 they say no. Illegals are suppressing wages, that is why they are let in.

So instead we stay home, locked in our offices, critizing these people on our computers. Meanwhile, they're out there working their butts off, not only supporting themselves here, but sending a lot of cash back to Mexico. Ask me which one of you I would want on my team, on my side doing battle with the other side? It wouldn't be you.

yea, I guess your right. I forgot that liberals only need to provide one real/fake example to determine their version of the truth.

And I have seen the wages lowered by illegals, that is why they are let in.

Yep. The Republicans and Democrats love to please their business donors.

"She says her husband, who works the second shift at the Smithfield plant, barely shares his pay with her, saying he must send his money to his relatives in Mexico."

"The sooner we pass the president's plan, the better off we'll all be."

Reading the first comment then your's, I don't understand how you can post such blatant flapdoodle.

Guess who supports them both? No property tax doesn't count, they don't pay property tax to help out - renters aren't liable for property taxation. No sales tax won't do it either, they may make $8-9/hr, but if they spent as much as half their income (not likely since "he must send his money to his relatives in Mexico") and paid NC sales tax, the state and county would only gross something less than $500 annually. $500 and the county gets to keep about half(?). Less than $250 each, state and local, to allow criminals sanction. It's pathetic.

More likely scenario is that a lot of small business would fail. There are many businesses that can not support higher wages. Fast food springs immediately to mind.

Why do you say that?

She is dizzy, almost wobbly. Her head aches, her coughing won't stop, and because she doesn't have enough money she has not filled her four prescriptions nor seen a doctor recently.

You see nothing wrong with starting out a story on a criminal with the above statement?

She is breaking the law and she is being portrayed as some lovable character that deserves our sympathy.

Like I said propaganda.

How many links would you like to articles detailing the criminal exploits of illegals? I could spend all day sending them to you so a number would be nice so I have something to work towards.

And I believe the current stat for prisoners in California is up to 30+% illegals. Quite telling don't you think?
