Cat Frozen To Fence Saved By Woman, Grandkids

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Here is proof that cats really have nine lives.

One cold morning while in the backyard of a Nebraska homeowner Ruth Bogenreif, a cat was taking a drink out of a heated bird bath. Something apparently startled the cat and she jumped, wet paws and all, onto a chain link fence.

In freezing temperatures, the cats small feet froze instantly to the metal.

"He was hanging with his paws froze to the fence. His head, the back of his neck, was in the water," said Bogenreif.

Using warm water, Bogenreif and her grandchildren freed the cat from the metal and then turned it over to the local shelter.

"She's not walking well on her right leg, we're assuming muscle paralysis at this point. Hopefully she'll be getting better as the swelling goes down," said Pam Wiese with the Humane Society.

Well, we're talking about a cat, and I'd use that method on a cat even if it wasn't stuck.

In all cases?

LOL! Pinky's handler is definitely asking for trouble throughout the video. And the fan cat - no doubt you're right, the cat's owners didn't expect his flight, and man, that thud. Yikes.

Even BETTER, evets. The Real Deal. Thanks.

Besides Flick's voice, Ralphy's looks in this scene are totally hysterically funny. Next time you watch the movie, look ONLY at Ralphy in the Flick Stick scene.

I don't know what was more improbable...the cat's flip onto the fence or the Eagles' pop-flip-and-catch touchdown.

It's funny, but my Lab is the same way.

She's friendly as a puppy when she's just hanging around, but when she goes up to the line to do a retrieve, she is all business, and when you give her the word she takes off like a rocket.

There she goes!

Yeah, they did! One of the characters stepped on a sea urchin and was telling another character, who did not speak English, what needed to be done.

My old boss used to have a potted cactus, one of those hairy ones. His young daughter, for some crazy reason, decided to lick it. He said it was about two hours with a tweezer trying to pick out the spines.

OMG, agrace. My dad and I talk about "Pinky" ALL the time. We try and one-up each other in attempts to somehow SQEEZE "Pinky" into our (quick, think-of-something-witty) deadpan one-liners to each other. LOLOL.

EVERYBODY GO SEE PINKY AT AGRACE'S LINK. I haven't been there yet, but I'm going now....

I see you own a lot of shoes, so I guess you know a lot about walkin...............

But yes, I agree it was in poor taste, and have asked the mods to pull it.

Too funny! We have a black lab who likes to carry our (tom) barn cat outside and make snow spirals by dipping him in the snow in ever smaller circles. By the time the dog reaches the center of the spiral the cat is so mad he literally claws the crap out of her and chases her back to the barn - in truth they're really friends. I am not a cat lover.

P.S. Love your tagline

A little boy was sitting on the curb with a gallon of turpentine and shaking it up and watching all the bubbles.

A little while later a Priest came along and asked the little boy what he had.

The little boy replied, "This is the most powerful liquid in the world; it's called turpentine."

The Priest said, "No, the most powerful liquid in the world is Holy Water. If you take some of this Holy Water and rub it on a pregnant women's belly, she'll pass a healthy baby."

The little boy replied, "You take some of this here turpentine and rub it on a cat's *ss and he'll pass a Harley Davidson."

I think that the consensus is that it was understood that THAT'S where you were coming from, Hi Heels. :-)

Did *that* make sense? :-)
