The happy thing is, not even the dead were disenfrachised in this last election.

This is not a partisan matter. It is one of right and wrong, and of following Washington State election law.

The rally was not altogether peaceful. Notice the gash marks along the spray-painted word "Revote" in this revote supporter's truck. It is not clear whether the dents were also the result of vandalism. What is clear: This type of activity, which plagued the Presidential campaign, always seems to come from the same ideology.
To all, especially my fellow Washington ReVoters == An excellent result of yesterday's rally and press coverage:
I had an appointment at the doctor's today and took the opportunity to ask, "What do you think of the revote idea?"
He didn't know what my political persuasions are, so he took a minute to think before replying.
He said he thinks it's a good idea ... and as he saw me not flinching, he warmed to the subject ... and said that he wanted to sign the petition for a revote but didn't know where to find it online, UNTIL HE SAW THE PHOTOS IN TODAY'S NEWSPAPERS THAT HAD THE WEB SITE FOR THE REVOTE PETITION ON THEM! He signed it online this AM and said his wife did too. He said that was a great idea -- and he went on at length (didn't charge me for the extra time) about all the "mistakes" and how he "hears things," nothing proveable at this point, but he hears things, being in contact with workers for both campaigns, etc., and he wonders "how clean Gregoire really is."
He was up-to-date on facts, figures, places, dates ... just as if he were a FReeper; he had a lot to say. One of the most interesting was his declaration that he hadn't been angry about the whole thing until Gregoire said something that really put him over the top. I said what burned me was when Gregoire called the revote idea ludicrous, and he said, "Yes! That's what made me angry!" He is a very moderate guy so that surprised me and I think it's an excellent gauge of how a lot of voters are reacting. I said that the voters are not being heard, and the democrats are pushing their will on us, and he heartily agreed, and stood up for our republic and against the machinations of King County. He even protested against King County being allowed to wait till all the other counties certified their results (while being able to change the procedures as they learned other counties' vote totals, and then adding new votes).
It was very encouraging to me.
But a re-vote gives them another chance that they don't deserve. Rossi won the first time.

How about you Washingtonians post some names and emails of folks we out-of-staters could contact? This is a national thing, not just local, and there are plenty of us who are watching this who are disgusted. There is time, too -- the wheels of justice sometimes turn slowly, but they TURN. A colleague of my husband's, from Washington, said to him, "Why don't you let US win one for a change." Because -- you have to WIN, buddy.
Fox News has covered it some.
Any national media outlets, newspaper, television and radio. We certainly need all the help we can get out here.
I would also contact your state legislators. Tell them that you are concerned what is happening in the state of Washington can happen where you live. Thanks again for your concern.
