Thanks Lexinom re #26 note.

To all, especially my fellow Washington ReVoters == An excellent result of yesterday's rally and press coverage:

I had an appointment at the doctor's today and took the opportunity to ask, "What do you think of the revote idea?"

He didn't know what my political persuasions are, so he took a minute to think before replying.

He said he thinks it's a good idea ... and as he saw me not flinching, he warmed to the subject ... and said that he wanted to sign the petition for a revote but didn't know where to find it online, UNTIL HE SAW THE PHOTOS IN TODAY'S NEWSPAPERS THAT HAD THE WEB SITE FOR THE REVOTE PETITION ON THEM! He signed it online this AM and said his wife did too. He said that was a great idea -- and he went on at length (didn't charge me for the extra time) about all the "mistakes" and how he "hears things," nothing proveable at this point, but he hears things, being in contact with workers for both campaigns, etc., and he wonders "how clean Gregoire really is."

He was up-to-date on facts, figures, places, dates ... just as if he were a FReeper; he had a lot to say. One of the most interesting was his declaration that he hadn't been angry about the whole thing until Gregoire said something that really put him over the top. I said what burned me was when Gregoire called the revote idea ludicrous, and he said, "Yes! That's what made me angry!" He is a very moderate guy so that surprised me and I think it's an excellent gauge of how a lot of voters are reacting. I said that the voters are not being heard, and the democrats are pushing their will on us, and he heartily agreed, and stood up for our republic and against the machinations of King County. He even protested against King County being allowed to wait till all the other counties certified their results (while being able to change the procedures as they learned other counties' vote totals, and then adding new votes).

It was very encouraging to me.

I visited some shut-in neighbors a couple of days ago. I know the husband to be a staunch Conservative. they were aware of the petition, but said that they were unable to sign as they no longer had Internet access.

I brought my wireless laptop over and brought up the page, allowing them the opportunity to sign up. Then yesterday they knocked at my door with two more neighbors (who also signed)

I told them to pass the word - I'll gladly help any of my neighbors register their protest!
