EIB Sounding Board: Democrats Read From Kook Sites (Rush Rips Dems A New Clymer In 2005 Alert)
RushLimbaugh.com ^ | 01/06/05 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 01/06/2005 5:31:21 PM PST by goldstategop

RUSH: Here's Barbara Boxer. Now, this is not Barbara Boxer from the floor of the Senate. This is a Capitol Hill press conference earlier today but this is essentially the same litany that she went through on the floor of the Senate just about 20 minutes ago.

BOXER: For most of us in the Senate and the House, we have spent our lives fighting for things we believe in, always fighting to make our nation better. We have fought for social justice. We have fought for economic justice. We have fought for environment justice. We have fought for criminal justice.

RUSH: All right, stop the tape. Your version of social justice is on display with all the poverty programs and all the public education messes that we have. Your version of economic justice is high taxes, fewer economic freedoms, and bigger government and more dependence on it. Your version of environmental justice...? Environmental justice? What the hell is that? Pardon my excited tones here. What is environmental justice? Promising not to cut down a redwood tree? What is environmental justice? Oh, no pollutants in the air from smokestacks? Oh, yeah, all right. Criminal justice? Yep, got that on display right now, we're trying to give civil and human rights to a bunch of terrorists. That's a kind of justice that we get from you people, and you're losing big on it. You're stepping in piles of excrement. You're on a one-way street headed straight down to you know where if you don't turn around and come back. It's incredible to watch this. You still don't understand, Senator Boxer, exactly where your policies have taken you and your party. Resume tape.

BOXER: Now we must add a new fight (whispering) the fight for electoral justice.

RUSH: Oh, gag me!

BOXER: Every citizen of this country who is registered to vote should be guaranteed that their vote (whispering) matters, that their vote is counted, and that in the voting booth, in their com-mun-i-ty --

RUSH: Listen to this.

BOXER: -- their vote has as much weight as that of any senator --

RUSH: Listen.

BOXER: -- any congressperson --

RUSH: Listen.

BOXER: -- any president --

RUSH: Listen!

BOXER: -- any cabinet member or any CEO of any Fortune 500 corporation.

RUSH: What in the world is this lunatic talking about? What is attempting to imply, that CEOs get more votes than you do and their votes count more than yours does?

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, my friends, we have another Barbara Boxer sound bite. I don't have time to play it here before the expiration of the content portion of the hour of this program. However, it will be the lead item as we lead off the next hour. I have to tell you, though, the next segment in its real time phase went on for over three minutes. To subject you to that would be a violation of the Geneva Conventions on torture. As such, we have pared it done to just a minute and nine seconds, and contained in that minute and nine seconds is 30 seconds of a laundry list of supposed Ohio irregularities which can be found on any kook fringe, wacko, lunatic, insane left-wing website, and you will hear that, but again, not the full three minutes because we don't want to violate the Geneva Conventions on this program and have Joe Biden and Pat Leahy come after me.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: We are continuing to monitor here, ladies and gentlemen, the proceedings going on in the Senate. Let me check the House real quick. Let me see what's going on there. But at the Senate, one senator after another, one Democrat senator after another is walking to the microphone and denouncing what happened to Ohio, and they all, they all preface their remarks by saying, "Not that I think any of this will change the outcome. That's not our point here..." and then they launch into their diatribe, which I'm telling you is designed solely and purely to satisfy the absolute aliens that now occupy the bodies of the Democrat base -- and it's fascinating. They all trundle up there to the microphone. For those of you in Rio Linda, they "stumble up" there, "walk heavily." They get up there and they go through and they're making all their speeches and they're giving all their complaints, not one of them other than Barbara Boxer would sign the complaint, the protest, whatever it is. None of them would put their name to that, but these lily-livered little senators will walk up there and get on board after one of them walks the plank.

But none of them will walk the plank with her in terms of having their name on record as opposing the certification of the electoral vote count from Ohio. The Laut is currently up there and he's got this big display of a letter from the Ohio secretary of state, Ken Blackwell, highlighted with yellow -- I guess he's saying that Blackwell is a liar or a sneak or a cheat or whatever they think all Republicans are. Ken Blackwell happens to be a black conservative so you can imagine how hated and despised he is. (interruption) Yeah, and he (interruption) By doing what to them? Oh, yeah, that's right, that's right. Ken Blackwell used "Cajun tactics," ladies and gentlemen, to suppress the black vote in Ohio. He's a black man himself, secretary of state. Cajun tactics. What are Cajun tactics? I haven't the foggiest idea what he's talking about but they're up there. They're going throughout motions. They all want to get their voice heard but none of them will sign this pledge. I'll tell you, go to C-SPAN2 if you want to join the audio. Hillary Clinton now speaking.

HILLARY: -- with members of the House, most particularly Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones --

RUSH: Oh, yes.

HILLARY: -- in raising the objection, because it does permit us to --

RUSH: Yes?

HILLARY: -- air some of these issues, something that I believe is necessary for the smooth functioning of our democracy and the integrity of the most precious right of any citizen, namely the right to vote.

RUSH: This convinces me even more that I'm right about this.

HILLARY: Looking at our election system, I think it's fair to say that there are many legitimate questions --

RUSH: How many in New York?

HILLARY: -- about its crass accuracy --

RUSH: How about San Francisco?

HILLARY: -- about its integrity and they're not confined to the state of Ohio.

RUSH: Thank you!

HILLARY: They are ones that have arisen throughout our country, and certainly because of the election of 2000 --

RUSH: (Groans)

HILLARY: -- have been given high relief in the last four years, and then questions were raised additionally respect to this election, which deepened the concern of many people about whether or not we can assure the continuity of our Democratic process --

RUSH: Oh, come on, it's your --

HILLARY: -- without assuring the consent of the governed and the acceptance of the results of elections.

RUSH: Three million votes, Mrs. Clinton.

HILLARY: Several weeks ago we stood in great admiration as a nation behind the people of Ukraine as they took to the streets to demand --

RUSH: (Laughing) Oh, ho, ho, ho!

HILLARY: -- that they be given the right to an election where every vote was counted.

RUSH: You know what this is?

HILLARY: In a few weeks we're going to see an election in Iraq, and we know that there are people literally dying in Iraq.

RUSH: She's telling her base --

HILLARY: -- for the right to cast a (unintelligible) vote.

RUSH: Strap up. Take to the streets.

HILLARY: I'm very proud of our country --

RUSH: Prepare to die.

HILLARY: -- that we have stood with Ukrainians, Iraqis, and others around the world, but increasingly I worry that if this body --

RUSH: Do you believe this?

HILLARY: -- this Congress --

RUSH: Do you believe this?

HILLARY: -- doesn't stand up on a bipartisanship basis for the right to vote here at home --

RUSH: Oh, come on!

HILLARY: -- or moral authority running weakened.

RUSH: How many fraudulent votes did your party cast, Mrs. Clinton? For crying out loud!

HILLARY: Because freedom is our most precious value.

RUSH: Take her down for just a second. We are the criminals in the war on terror, according to her party, and now the Ukrainians and the Iraqis do better at running elections than we do. Bring her back up.

HILLARY: -- country. But through constitutional changes, a civil war, and a civil rights movement, we expanded the franchise. This time we will celebrate --

RUSH: Time for another civil war.

HILLARY: Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act --

RUSH: Democrats are losing elections.

HILLARY: -- and it will be an opportunity for us to take a look at this landmark legislation --

RUSH: Time to take back the country.

HILLARY: -- decide how we're going to move it into the 21st Century --

RUSH: They're going to support the Second Amendment before this day is over so their voters can go arm up.

HILLARY: -- past. I would be standing here saying this no matter what the outcome of the election.

RUSH: Ooooh!

HILLARY: But I still think the best rule in politics is the Golden Rule.

RUSH: Which is...?

HILLARY: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," and I worry whether it's a Democratic or Republican administration or a local, county, state or federal election, that we are on a slippery slope as a nation.

RUSH: Yep.

HILLARY: My colleagues --

RUSH: But the Ukrainians do it right, folks.

HILLARY: -- former Senator Bob Graham of Florida introduced legislation --

RUSH: We can learn from the Ukrainians!

HILLARY: -- assure a verifiable paper audit.

RUSH: -- nd the Iraqis --

HILLARY: We didn't get anywhere with that.

RUSH: -- who've never voted yet.

HILLARY: Didn't get a hearing before the rules committee, and I would hope that the --

RUSH: A federal judge overturned your guy in Florida who tried for this.

HILLARY: Because if we can go and buy a lottery ticket or go to a bank and get an ATM deposit then we know we can use an electronic transfer mechanism that gives us a report.

RUSH: The kooks slight slot machines. Slot machines never screw up, so he let the people that make slot machines make the voting machines!

HILLARY: -- India, the largest democracy, we're the oldest democracy and so in that way we are real partners in this great enterprise of democracy. India had an election.

RUSH: Yeah?

HILLARY: Five-hundred-and-fifty million or so people voted.

RUSH: Uh-oh.

HILLARY: From the dot-com billionaire to the poor illiterate president. They voted, and Mr. President, they voted on electronic voting machines. They voted in a way that guaranteed the safety and security and accuracy of their vote.

RUSH: All right. So the Ukrainians do it better than we do; the Iraqis do it better than we do, and now the Indians do it better than we do. This the exactly where the Democrats come from: We're the skunks. We're the worst. We're horrible. We're rotten. We need to learn from all these other countries. We even learn how to conduct wars from Al-Qaeda. Bring her back up.

HILLARY: -- to the objection of my friend from California, this debate, which has started today, will continue. Thank you, Mr. President.

PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE: (banging gavel)

REID: Mr. President?

PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE: The Senator. The distinguished leader.

REID: Mr. President, I spoke on a procedural matter early. I would ask consent that that now be deemed --

RUSH: This is Dusty Harry here. Dusty Harry Reid.

REID: -- with regard to this matter.

PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE: There's no objection.

REID: Mr. President, thank you, and I thank my friends on the majority. Mr. President, today our brave men and women of our armed forces are working to bring the right to free and fair elections to Iraq.

RUSH: Not with your help.

REID: In less than a month there will be elections in Iraq. (coughs)

RUSH: Can you believe this? These guys?

REID: The sacrifice of our military demands that we work to ensure that our own elections are fair.

RUSH: I mean, I love this. (laughing). You're trying to put our attorney general nominee and as many of our soldiers in jail as you can, Dusty Harry.

REID: -- for allowing us to talk a little bit about elections generally. A constitutional right can be said to help secure all other rights is the right to vote.

RUSH: All right.

REID: History has shown us –

RUSH: That's enough. we're getting close to the Geneva Conventions violations here. Ladies and gentlemen, I realize occasion you may say, "What's the violation of the Geneva Conventions here?" It's called, well...sound boarding. It's like we're bombarding you with things that will drive you crazy. You can only take so much of it then you have come back for air that's why I dump out of these people now and then and give you a chance to recover. But you've just been treated to sound boarding, which is a violation of the Geneva Conventions treatment of friends while at war. (laughing) I am more convinced than ever after listening to Hillary -- well, not even listening. The fact that she joined in parade, I am more convinced than ever that this is about solidifying the base and just keeping them at bay and keeping them happy, because she is doing everything she can to sound more moderate and centrist most of the time but when it comes to this, the base is clamoring for this and so the Democrats are having bent over forward and grab the ankles and give them their day even though they look like absolute fools today.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: We've had enough sound boarding, ladies and gentlemen. I'm not going to play any more Barbara Boxer. We've heard enough senators on the floor of the House. They're still going, Tom Harkin from Iowa is on the floor of the Senate speaking even now about these "huge voting irregularities." You know what's interesting about this? Why are they choosing Ohio: 118,000-vote margin after a recount. You go to Wisconsin, and what was it? ... It was 10,500 votes, okay, so Bush lost Wisconsin by 10,500 votes. Why we're not going to Wisconsin to question whatever might have happened? Well, it's obvious. It's the electoral votes in Ohio that would put Kerry over the top if they're denied to Bush. So this is not about straightening out elections and making them fair and making sure every vote counts and yadda, yadda, yadda. If that were the case the Democrats wouldn't have been striking to steal the gubernatorial seat in the state of Washington, as they have. You know, all you gotta do is look at what they've done in the state of Washington to get the -- How do you pronounce that babe's name? Gregoire? Gregore-eee? Gregoire -- to get her that gubernatorial seat out there, they had to come up with 8,500 dead people or something like that after the fact, then they got them counted. If they were really worried about vote fraud, where weren't they out there investigating that and holding hearings on that, protesting that? Why Ohio? It's patently obvious. Here's Neil in Stafford, Virginia. I'm glad you waited, sir, welcome to the EIB Network.

CALLER: Hi, Rush, how are you.

RUSH: I'm just peachy.

CALLER: I'll tell you after listening to Boxer and Hillary quacking there for the last 20 minutes. I'm a loyal listener, but it's about all I could take. (laughing)

RUSH: I sensed that. (laughing) My empathy was intact here, and that's why we cut 'em off.

CALLER: Yeah, my question, though, is I'm hearing all about this Abu Ghraib and G'itmo and everything and the water boarding and wedgieing and wet wiggles or whatever it is we're doing to these people, how come I haven't heard anything from the connect-the-dots crowd, remember them? Remember the --

RUSH: Uh, yes, I have, I --

CALLER: Huh?

RUSH: I've heard of that, yeah.

CALLER: Okay, well --

RUSH: I'm the host.

CALLER: Oh, okay, of course you are. What I mean is, because I watched the 9/11 Commission hearings kind of closely, and I remember people clapping at the politically opportune times. I remember people saying, "We've got to get information. We've got to do a better job of getting things so we can, you know, connect the dots," and my question is: "How can you connect dots you don't have?" If you're going to wall off possibly some critical information from the analysts --

RUSH: Let me answer this from the Democrat perspective.

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: That's a brilliant question if your objective is to win the war, but if your objective is to criminalize the U.S. prosecution of the war and see to it that it fails, then of course you don't want to connect the dots. You don't want Bush to be able to connect the dots. You want Bush to screw it up. You want an utter failure during Bush. You want all kinds of torture, all kinds of war crimes, all kinds of misuse of the military, and that's what the Democrats are aiming for. That's why we need to take names and find out who these people are because there's going to be another event like 9/11 sometime, someplace, and it needs to be pounded into people's heads that the people on the Senate judiciary committee right now that are conducting these hearings in the Gonzales and will do it same thing with ideas and these Democrats here on the floor of the Senate protesting this vote count in Ohio because it's same song, just different verse. They cannot be trusted with the leadership of this country.

CALLER: Well, remember, though, the event that we can avoid, if we can avoid events by getting information from these characters by using these techniques, it doesn't have to be a catastrophic event. You know, I'm down here in a county just south of D.C. --

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: -- and we're flying -- I don't know if it's still flying half-mast, but it flew for a while because there was a 20-year-old soldier who was killed in Mosul in that dining hall explosion, suicide bombing in Mosul.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: And all you need is, is it worth it? Is dropping water on some guy's head worth saving -- of course it's worth saving three, 4,000 lives or whatever, but is it worth saving one? And my answer would be yes. You know, so it doesn't have to be a catastrophic event we avoid, it would just have to be to save one life.

RUSH: That's a good point.

CALLER: Because we're not killing the people we're interrogate, we're just making life a little uncomfortable for them.

RUSH: Excellent point.

CALLER: And I don't, of course --

RUSH: I'll tell you something else, I think the point of you that you're expressing here is mirroring that of the vast majority of the American people who don't understand this at all, disagree with it profoundly and are scratching their heads over why the Democrats are doing this.

CALLER: Well, I would hope so. I'd like to think that there's a large part of the country that still doesn't wake up in the morning and decide, you know, what's the politically correct way to go to bathroom this morning so I keep my poll numbers up. Some people I think like the president see further down the road than a lot of these people, particularly some of these Democrats who claim they've got the people's interests at heart when really all they want to do is just pander to a handful of people to get money and get reelected. That's the only thing they'll really worried about.

RUSH: Yeah, well, they're pandering too a fewer and fewer number of people and a kookier and kookier bunch of people at the same time. Look, I gotta run here. I want to warn you, Neil. We're going to go back to sound boarding here, but I want to hear this. The savior of the Democratic Party, newly elected senator from Illinois, Barak Obama is now speaking on voting irregularities in Ohio.

OBAMA: -- and women, uh, could not vote and yet, uh, over the course of decades, she had participated in broadening our democracy and ensuring that in fact, uh, at some point, uh, if not herself, then her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren, uh, would be in a position in which they could, uh, too, call themselves citizens of the United States and make certain that this government, uh, works not just on behalf of the mighty and the powerful, but also on behalf of people like her.

RUSH: They cannot can't get over the class envy stuff.

OBAMA: Uh, and so the fact that she voted and that her vote was counted, uh, in this election was of supreme importance to her, and it is the memory of talking to her and shaking her hand that causes me to rise, uh, on this occasion.

RUSH: I betcha this is Rosa Parks. Who's he talking about?

OBAMA: I am absolutely convinced that the president of the United States, George Bush, uh, won this election. I also believe, uh, that he got more votes in Ohio.

RUSH: Then what are talking about here?

OBAMA: I think as it's already been said by some of the speakers, uh, in this body. He is not, uh -- this is not an issue in which we are challenging, uh, the outcome of the election, and I think --

RUSH: Right.

OBAMA: -- it's important for us, uh --

RUSH: Exactly.

OBAMA: -- to separate out --

RUSH: Yeah.

OBAMA: -- the issue of the, uh, election outcome with the election process.

RUSH: Right.

OBAMA: Uh, I was not in this body four years ago.

RUSH: No, good.

OBAMA: Uh, but what I observed, uh, as a voter, as a citizen of Illinois, uh, four years ago -

RUSH: All right, that's it. They're just -- as I said, folks, you don't need any further proof. You didn't need any proof even at all after I said it but they're pandering to the base here, pure and simple, 100%. They're all saying, "Hey, Bush won. We're not challenging the result, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." How big of all of you.

Boxer is a supporter of one of the biggest abominations that has been committed in the history of mankind. That of abortion. Then she comes out with that crap today about protecting everyone's right to vote. What about an unborn's right to life. Then she has the gall to say what an injustice happened in Ohio while our troops are dieing in Iraq. Give me a break. She doesn't give one hoot about the American military man or woman. Someday she'll get hers. It gets awfully hot where she's going to go.

What's even better is the fact that liberals think Limbaugh is some knuckle-dragging moron.

Hell, he knows their game better than they do.

I got the feeling that Limbaugh wanted to counter virtually every word the demoness(hillary)said. He seems destined to keep her in check. He knows what is good and bad for the country and Hitlery is just plain evil.

I love Rush and listen everyday but today he was weak. He could have ripped that NY caller to shreds but didn't. Rush barely scratched the surface of what the Dems have done in Washington state. Hugh Hewitt was much better than Rush today at ridiculing Boxer and the Dems hypocracy about "voting irregularities".

Well, let's talk about paper trail election ballots for a second. The Democrats are all about the removal of "intimidation" tactics from the process, right?

Well, picture this: the inner city precincts -- where there are fewer than necessary voting booths, anyway, if you believe these people. Picture a few poor voters who want to vote Republican. Do they DARE do so and get caught being handed a receipt that somehow makes it evident that they voted against their's meal-ticket representatives? Do they dare come forward if a race is contested to say "I voted Republican"?

Now this sounds blatently racist, but I say this for a point: and it really doesn't matter what neighborhood, race, or ethnicity is involved here. If you are voting with a minority opinion in any election, and your ballot fails to withhold the sanctity and secrecy of your vote, then intimidation is very possible. And that is regardless of who you are.

The principle of a receipt is good; but I think the application of this is a risky scheme. Of course, I always have to be suspicious if the Democrats are proposing anything.

Today was like winning the election all over again!

What a joyous day. We were privy to history today. We watched the complete and total destruction of the Democratic Party.

The best part was that they did it to themselves. The kooks drove them to the edge and the suicidal Boxer drove that party car right off the cliff.

What a great day.

No one is perfect on the radio. It is harder than it

appears. From time to time Rush and Hannity go

entirely too long with the wrong people. That was a

good example you gave.
