I got a ruby red-colored silicone bundt pan for Christmas. My 19-year-old one was losing it's non-stick capability and sometimes my cakes would not come out whole. I baked a Bacardi rum cake in it for a New Years Open House. The cake just slipped out of the pan, clean up was a snap, and it tasted great. No metallic or rubbery taste at all--just chocolate fudge 'n rum. Yum. Yum.

Probably not as close as the planet Uranus came to being called "George."

It would have saved us a lot of bad jokes....

While home for Christmas, my son rummaged through his granma's stuff hoping to find one but alas his mom had already scarfed it up.

Granma laughed. Who knew moving out of her house could be such fun.

I have two Nordic Ware bundt pans. Darn good, sturdy product.

I use one of them to make my Southern Whipping Cream Pound Cake (Elvis Presley's all-time favorite cake).

The recipe is in the fabulous freeper "Clinton Legacy" cookbook edited and published by our own freeper chef, Carlo3b.

Elvis knew his cake, if not much else.

Yum, yum.

That's the color I got for my sons. Cooking.com had the Kitchen Aid brand on sale. Only the younger son had mentioned it, but I knew they both baked this particular cake, so I got one for each of them. They were very excited!

A variation on the theme... I bought one of these for myself before Christmas. I made some little gingerbread cakes in it.

You'll love the cookbook....not only the recipes, but it's such a nostalgia piece, what with all we went through in the Clinton years.

We gave out a goodly number of "Clinton Legacy" cookbooks as prizes on the June "FReeps Ahoy" Caribbean cruise, thanks to Carlo's generous donation of same.

He's da man!
