TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO JANUARY 2005 Dailies: News Digest, Restating the Obvious & Thank Yous...
Free Republic & Various Sources ^ | December 30, 2004 | Floriduh Voter

The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.

Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views.

More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.

Officials ban crosses at inauguration parade per World Net Daily. (I guess they're afraid someone will use a cross as a weapon?)

America was founded by people who were victims of religious persecution.

Freedom of religion is no longer guaranteed under the constitution? Are Christians really a threat or was this another PC move to erase Christianity from the public square?

Who will end this pc madness?

Just happened to be watching the Gonzalez confirmation hearings. Gonzales provided on c-span2 for Teddy Kennedy the definition of torture per U.S. Congress under the Medicaid Statutes. For Gonzales' exact remarks, I'll need to visit c-span 2 on line.

What he said Congress' definition of torture is UNDER MEDICAID goes beyond their discussion of AQ detainees.

Even being held in one room as Terri is, which is "inhumane" constitutes torture. Add the lack of rehabilitative therapy, the inhumane treatment of her parents and siblings, two attempted starvations and the closed blinds and door, taking her rehab monies away so she would be Medicaid eligible. MORE TORTURE, FRAUD AND ABUSE then I can put in one post.

Ping to my last post. The Medicaid fraud, abuse and torture claims are not new regarding Terri, but it was good today to have the President's appointee for US Attorney General provide the US Congress' definition of torture under Medicaid for us on c-span 2.

Ping to my recent posts. Under the Medicaid Provisions and the US Congress' definition of torture, Terri is being tortured.

Was there any doubt???

That's why this is a mess. Medicaid is a state run program and Jeb Bush is the Governor. He's been acting as her proxy in Terri's Law and the Medicaid program in his state is torturing her... The Medicaid doctors picked by the hubby's counsel must re-certify every six months that Terri is terminally ill so they are committing fraud every six months to keep her caged at Hospice. Fraud, torture and abuse, Terri's lot in life unless she's put into protective custody or unless Jeb Bush's appeal is accepted by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Terri was a Sabal Palms Nursing Home and probably at hubby's direction, she was moved to Hospice and her rehab monies went to Felos and Bushnell. She had to be broke to be medicaid eligible so all that money had to go.

TERRI WAS ROBBED, made poor so they could stick her in Hospice. Judge Greer should be thrown in jail for his part in this. But, he served as Chair of the Circuit Court Judges Annual for years and also sat on the Guardianship Monitoring Committee. He wasn't about to point out to his peers that he was incompetent and a puppet judge.

Medicaid is also guilty of defrauding Terri by accepting her into their program when she was only made eligible through the fraud of others.

Parents ask judge to allow Terri Schiavo's feeding tube to stay

Associated Press

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The parents of a severely brain-damaged woman asked a judge Thursday to allow her feeding tube to stay, saying that she was denied her right to due process of law because she never had her own attorney.

The motion asks Circuit Judge George Greer to void the 2000 order that allowed Michael Schiavo order doctors to remove his wife's feeding tube.

"In reviewing the many boxes of court filings, we cannot find a single instance where Terri was afforded the right of every American to have a lawyer who would represent her own interests," said attorney David Gibbs III, who represents Terri's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler.

Michael Schiavo, who courts have ruled it his wife's guardian, said she never wanted to be kept alive artificially. Her parents contend Terri had no such end-of-life wishes.

Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, did not immediately return a phone message Thursday.

The new motion also argues that a feeding tube was not considered life support at the time she is said to have made it, so even if Terri Schiavo did say she didn't want to be kept alive on life support, that wouldn't affect her feeding tube.

The motion also argues that the courts violated the constitutional separation of powers by acting as judge, lawmaker and proxy-gaurdian.

Terri Schiavo collapsed in 1990 from an eating disorder and suffered severe brain damage when her heart stopped beating. Some doctors who have examined her say she is in a persistent vegetative state with no hope for recovery, while doctors brought in by her parents say there is a chance of some rehabilitation.

The Schindlers do not believe their daughter, who left no written directive, is brain dead and say she cries, laughs and reacts to them. But Michael Schiavo and his attorney point to medical opinions that say those are involuntary reflexes.

They rallied Bush to come to their daughter's aid when her husband had the tube removed Oct. 15, 2003, and it appeared all other court remedies were exhausted.

Bobby Schindler remembers sister Terri through home movies

(an ABC Action News report 1/6/05)

http://www.tampabaylive.com/stories/2005/01/050106schiavo.shtml

TAMPA - Over the holidays, the family of Terri Schiavo went before a judge in a last ditch effort to keep her alive. The Schindlers claimed Terri would want to remain on life support because of her religious beliefs. However, the court of appeals rejected that plea.

Since the ruling, the Schindler family has been speaking out and sharing old home movies of happier holidays.

"She would love this," said Bobby Schindler as he watched footage of his sister dancing as a young girl. "It's too bad there is no sound to go along with this. I'd love to hear what she is saying."

After 33 years of sitting in a closet, Bobby dug up old family films and transferred them to video so he could share them with Action News.

"We were a very close family," Bobby remarked.

Bobby explained the films depict happier holidays for him. He and Terri were 8 and 9-years-old when the movies were shot in 1972.

"I think Terri is beautiful now," Bobby continued. "She was beautiful back then and she is beautiful now. She is my sister and I love her."

When asked if he had come to grips with the fact that Terri's feeding tube could be removed as early as this month, he said, "I am not out of touch with reality here. I know what could possibly happen but I just refuse to stop fighting for my sister. I don't care what anybody says -- what the media says or experts say. We never predicted what would happen before, so we'll see what happens."

Governor Bush pushed Terri's Law that essentially kept her alive. However, it was struck down last fall. The governor has appealed to the Supreme Court. The justices hear less than two percent of cases each year.

Bobby visits Terri every week, but has not told her what the family is up against.

Thanks for the great article. I heard Suzanne on internet radio and she's still asking Terri's supporters to contact Governor Bush at jeb.bush@myflorida.com.

In addition, Floridians can visit www.myflorida.com to get to the Fla House and Senate pages and email their district reps. Terri is alert and aware of her surroundings is a good way to start any email about Terri. Including links to news web sites is also important to include.

Short is best for recipients and doesn't take long to do.
