The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.
Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views.
More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.
See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.
Indonesia has many terrorist cells. Jeb is a hugger although I'm sure security has been tight over there w/Powell.
Jeb often hugs people, men, women, children. He should come and see Terri at Hospice and give her a big hug. He needs to see for himself that she's alert and aware of her surroundings.
There's no way of knowing what the US Supreme Court will do with Jeb's appeal. Personally, I cannot guage how far Jeb Bush will go to protect Terri. That is my point. I'm worried about Terri. She needs to be in protective custody. Jeb still needs to do that.
I have no problem with your statement that Jeb should do all he can to protect Terri. If he does not go all the way to protect her, I will be very upset and will say so. But to say he is embracing Terrorists because you don't agree that the government should spend money to help there because we have a deficit, so you are against the Powell-Jeb visit that President Bush initiated, well, forgive me, but I find that too distressing for words, the use of such terms to describe Gov. Bush. You have free speech, but in my angst for Terri, myself, I don't think of Jeb in such horrendous, despicable terms, nor of his brother the President.
In Florida, a "wish" is a bad thing.
Jeb inadvertently embracing one terrorist possibly, is not the same as Jeb embracing terrorism.
He needs to come back to Florida and hug Terri. Simple point.
Anyway, former Surgeon General Koop has written about starvation and dehydration, specifically mentioning Terri Schindler Schiavo.
A Nations People Speak about Intentional Starvation and Dehydration: Its Killing
Quotes from the National Right to Life Committee, Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics and C. Everett Koop, former US Surgeon General
Far from being an isolated instance, the attempted starvation and dehydration of Terri Schindler-Schiavo is typical of the denial of food and fluids in less publicized cases taking place daily in nursing homes and hospitals across America, said Burke J. Balch, J.D., director of the Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics, affiliated with the National Right to Life Committee.
For years, people who never asked to die have been quietly starved without much public attention, based on state laws and court opinions that permit third parties to make deadly decisions with little or no scrutiny or accountability, Balch said. The outcry over the Schindler-Schiavo case has awakened millions of Americans to the inhumanity of this practice. Now we must act to reverse this trend, and restore a presumption against starvation and dehydration.
We must not let the horror and outrage over the attempted starvation and dehydration of Terri Schindler-Schiavo dwindle and die away before we have acted to secure protection for the thousands facing s similar fate, said NRLC Executive Director David N. OSteen, Ph.D.
the book KOOP, The Memoirs of America's Family Doctor "... we must be wary of those who are too willing to end the lives of the elderly and the ill. If we ever decide that a poor quality of life justifies ending that life, we have taken a step down a slippery slope that places all of us in danger. There is a difference between allowing nature to take its course and actively assisting death.
The call for euthanasia surfaces in our society periodically, as it is doing now under the guise of "death with dignity" or assisted suicide. Euthanasia is a concept, it seems to me, that is in direct conflict with a religious and ethical tradition in which the human race is presented with "a blessing and a curse, life and death," and we are instructed '...therefore, to choose life."
I believe 'euthanasia' lies outside the commonly held life-centered values of the West and cannot be allowed without incurring great social and personal tragedy. This is not merely an intellectual conundrum. This issue involves actual human beings at risk..."
-- C. Everett Koop, M.D. **taken from the book KOOP, The Memoirs of America's Family Doctor by C. Everett Koop, M.D., Random House, 1991.
FV SAYS: LOTS IN THE LOCAL PAPERS THIS WEEK. 1. A Bailiff gets suspended for making rude comments about a woman who has a court hearing re: child support 2. THE CHIEF OF ELDER AFFAIRS FOR THE STATE OF FLORIDA IS TERMINATED BY JEB BUSH (while he's in Jakarta). 3. Florida House Representative Kevin Ambler is having a contest at GAITHER HIGH IN TAMPA. The contest is called "There Ought to Be a Bill". Ambler (R) is going to pick the contest winner from students of Gaither High and try to get it passed in the House and Senate.
I'm not a student at Gaither High (not even close) but my, my, THERE OUGHT TO BE ANOTHER BILL LIKE SB-692 to protect the DISABLED from what's happened to Terri and countless others. Kevin Ambler recently drove his car underneath a semi and was briefly hospitalized. I worked at Ambler's office a decade ago during a hospital merger here. He's a nice person. He needs to HELP TERRI. He wouldn't remember me now, but I URGE TAMPA RESIDENTS IN HIS DISTRICT TO CONTACT KEVIN AMBLER and ask him to support Terri's rights.
Pinellas residents can contact LESLIE WATERS.
Thanks, FV
"As part of this termination...you are not to enter the building where your office is located," the termination letter states, adding that WHITE will not receive annual or sick leave payout or state retirement contributions until the governor's office determines "our legal options in this regard." Details of harassment allegations were not revealed.
FV SAYS: Details were on the radio last night. Does the name Monica ring a bell? I hate to even bring her up but now you know.
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY WISH THAT A SLEW OF PEOPLE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA BE GIVEN A SIMILAR LETTER FROM THE GOVERNOR. I know I won't get my wish.
Ping. Check out my last posts... today's local headlines. FV

Fr. Frank Pavone Visits Terri Schindler-Schiavo
"She talks with her eyes. She's very much aware and alert"
CLEARWATER October 7, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The head of Priests for Life, Fr. Frank Pavone, has visited Terri Schindler-Schiavo in her Florida hospital room. Terri's estranged husband, Michael Schiavo, has complete control over who visits Terri and has severely restricted access by clergy to his disabled wife.
Fr. Pavone was in Florida to speak at the "Celebrate Life" banquet, hosted by Right to Life of Hillsborough County September 18. He visited Terri on the way to his engagement in the company of her priest, Msgr. Thaddeus Malanowski, and her family.
"It was beautiful," Fr. Pavone told his audience at the banquet. "'Many people are praying for you from around the country,' I told her." Lawyers for Michael Schiavo have contended that Terri's eye movements and other responses to voices and other stimuli are not signs of consciousness and that she is in a "permanent vegetative state." However, Fr. Pavone said that he thought Terri showed awareness of his visit. "She was following everything that was going on," he said. "She talks with her eyes. She's very much aware and alert."
The law passed by Governor Jeb Bush to protect Terri from a death of starvation was declared unconstitutional in May by a Florida court on the grounds that it contravened the right to privacy. The governor's office is appealing that decision. Fr. Pavone criticized the judicial system along with the medical establishment for overstepping their bounds. "All these fields have authority," he said, "What they cannot do is put a value judgment on the lives they're caring for. The job of our whole culture is to affirm life."

JUSTICE FOR TERRI SCHIAVO - Saving Terri Schiavo
Dr. Cranford, I just read about you at Center for Bioethics - University of Minnesota ...
One has only to read the site to know that your mindset reflects that of Hitler, and others like him, who place no value on human-life for Life's sake ...
...I think you really believe the pro-death BS you spew.
Sincerely, justice1949@aol.com
P.S.: I hope that others who support Terri Schiavo's right to life will all write to you and let you know their feeling on the subject. Have a nice day.
FV SAYS: This is only an excerpt to keep within FR guidelines. It wasn't anything real extreme that this individual wrote but it didn't add to what we're trying to do here. THIS INDIVIDUAL HAS A BEAUTIFUL, FACTUAL "TERRI DEDICATED" WEB SITE AS A MATTER OF FACT.
There are over 80,000 blogs and web sites devoted to Saving Terri Schiavo. FV
Bump for Terri
