The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.
Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views.
More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

Call me cynical about O'Reilly, but that woman could talk and was a boost to his ratings. Terri is hidden away and only others try to speak on her behalf. My point was exactly that with O'Reilly you never know what you would be getting if you tried to pull him heavily into this. To me it is not worth the risk of his taking the wrong side. JMO
I understand your logic, and I know that O'Reilly is for O'Reilly. But I just think Terri's plight needs to be shown to the public whenever possible.
I don't have cable, but listen to O'Reilly on the radio (but have stopped pretty much), and I know O'Reilly does a lot of strange things against conservatives or conservatism.
But I did read a transcript of O'Reilly's interview with the woman who was SUPPOSED to be PVC?, and that particular interview, with her talking so well, and telling her important story, was a great interview.
Yes, shown by people who will let the truth out, not distort it. He so distorted the Swift Vets and the Rather fakery, it just blew me away. He is a very powerful voice, and that could be very good but also horribly bad at this critical juncture. Theodore R wrote that he tried to appear neutral when covering this once, but that he seemed to treat Felos as some kind of big shot to be catered to. I don't know...didn't see that.
Again, no offense, I take nothing from what he did with the supposed PVS woman who could come on the air and talk to him. If Terri could tell her own story, she would get on there in a minute, but if she could do that, we wouldn't be desperately trying to save her. She wouldn't need us. It seems we won't agree on this, but that's okay.
No offense taken. We both want Terri to live and go home with her parents, and that's the bottom line. :)
One time O'Reilly launched into a vicious attack on the highly regarded (by conservatives) then Sen. Jesse Helms, R-NC. There was no reason for O'Reilly's attack. He said that he just wanted to show that he could "go after" conservatives as well as liberals. After that vicious smear, I never again watched O'Reilly and will never watch him again. You can have him.
You misunderstand me. I am not a fan of O'Reilly.
However, I am a fan of the truth, and his interview with the woman once diagnosed as having PVC, who had an eloquent conversation with O'Reilly, was a good interview.
This kind of interview helps Terri, whether you like O'Reilly or not.

While Barbara Simpson, as usual, wrote a great article, she is mistaken about the fact that Terri cannot speak or swallow. Nurses have observed Terri swallowing and saying a few words. Michael won't allow Terri to swallow, even though she can. I believe that's why Michael won't allow a priest to give her Holly Communion, because that shows she can swallow. One nurse even gave her jello. She would be able to swallow even more with THERAPY.
Also, Terri has been heard saying a few words, and would be able to talk even more with THERAPY.
Michael disallows this THERAPY.
Terri's dad said that Terri could talk after experimental surgery, but Michael stopped the needed THERAPY.

195 and one more re: Janet Rehnquist. Health Care Fraud testimony further down. THIS IS STILL WRONG IMO. Her dad just struck down Terri's Law and his daughter never investigated something that was all over the national news and the HHS was hearing from Americans re: Terri.

I haven't been able to find actual court transcripts that far back. Articles we find are the only facts? I have. Does that answer your question??

Freepers, if you happen to know of a LINK, is there a link to court records are besides the University of Miami archives? (World Net Daily had some Greer quotes that were alleged to be from the court records.)
If court records are on line, someone may find them. An investigative reporter asked us to find the source which is why I was asking around. World Net Daily got them from somewhere.
