TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO JANUARY 2005 Dailies: News Digest, Restating the Obvious & Thank Yous...
Free Republic & Various Sources ^ | December 30, 2004 | Floriduh Voter

Posted on 12/29/2004 7:16:22 AM PST by floriduh voter

The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.

Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views.

More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

Visit: http://www.terrisfight.org

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.

So the deal isn't that Terri can't swallow at all, it's that she can't swallow enough to sustain herself, right? That's peachy, just peachy!!

How do they know she can't? They haven't given her a chance to try.

Well, that's what I'm implying. It's ridiculous to say that she can't swallow at all, because we all know that she does swallow her own saliva. Therefore, she needs to have therapy to regain control of those muscles. Even if she didn't or were never able to, that's not a good enough reason to pull that feeding tube...ever! I just get so mad at the logic that Michael and his minions try to put over on everyone. They make me so ill!

They're not Republican judges in any real sense of the word; They are RINOs (Republicans in Name Only). They are using the Republican Party for their own personal gain.

They know that the average voter prefers Republican judges, so they chose to run as Republicans to get elected.

It is clear from the article he doesn't understand the facts of the case, most particlularly that Terri is NOT in a persistent vegetative state but is disabled.

Thank you for the phone number. It is time for Mr. Grogan to DEAL with the correct facts otherwise known as the TRUTH!

Dr. Kenneth Goodman

Kenneth W. Goodman, Ph.D., is founder and director of the University of Miami's Bioethics Program. He holds appointments in the university's Department of Medicine, Department of Philosophy, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, and School of Nursing. He shares responsibility for ethics education of UM students, trainees, and faculty. His research has focused on ethical issues in medical informatics, including bioinformatics or computational genomics, and in epidemiology and public health. Recent work has emphasized end-of-life issues, especially in conjunction with the Florida Partnership for End-of-Life Care, a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded initiative to improve care of the dying. Goodman is a PI along with colleagues at the University of Florida and other institutions in this statewide effort.

Dr. Goodman collaborates with a broad variety of institutional ethics committees and review boards, providing education, policy review and consulting services. The university's Bioethics Program produces an annual ethics conference ("Clinical Ethics: Debates, Decisions, Solutions") which is in its 9th year and which has emerged as one of the largest (if not the largest) community ethics conference in the nation.

He is the editor of Ethics, Computing and Medicine: Informatics and the Transformation of Health Care (Cambridge 1998) and co-author of books in artificial intelligence and public health ethics. He is writing a book about ethics and evidence-based medicine for Cambridge University Press and, with a colleague, collecting and commenting on case studies in health informatics.

another bit from RobertWoodJohnsonF "RWJF" site

Rate of Hospice Use: Hospice care is a "gold standard" for end-of-life care. However, hospice is not widely used in most states. Furthermore, the average length of stay in hospice has dropped to well below the 60 days considered necessary for people to get maximum benefit. In fact, dying patients commonly have the support of hospice care for less than a week.

http://www.rwjf.org/news/releaseDetail.jsp?id=1037586523372

They have an interactive state report card
http://www.rwjf.org/news/special/means.jhtml

Florida gets (my comments in )

A for Advanced Directives (guess this means it's easy to bump you off)

D for proportion of deaths occuring at home.(Facilities aren't making any money on these)

Hospice use
C grade based on percentage deaths with hospice stays

D grade based on median length of stay in hospice

THis is just a tiny bit of their report card, wish I could copy and paste it but I can't do it.

Yes, they are RINOs you are correct. That's what I tell my legislators. How did Judge Greer hook up with the left wing agenda? Additionally, he failed to properly oversee Terri's guardianship. TERRI HAS NEVER HAD HER OWN COUNSEL. So, Greer's in hot water which is nothing new.

It is upsetting that the local GOP backs Greer instead of Governor Jeb Bush. Their priorities are all wrapped up in our inept irresponsible judges.

And, the irony of the situation is that Terri is not among the dying, nor is she among the sick. She is healthy but has some disabilities that need attention to improve the quality of her life.

Instead of bothering to do that, many of those orgs you listed, ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING A NEW CLASS OF AMERICANS called THE DYING and who decides who THE DYING ARE?

judges, the aclu and attorneys who run murder franchises, formerly known as estate attorneys.

Terri is NOT DYING but they're sure trying to starve her to death as their prize, as their precedent to SPREAD EUTHANASIA FROM NOT ONLY THE TERMINALLY ILL BUT TO INCLUDE THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED ADULTS AND CHILDREN.

EUTHANASIA IS ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA BUT IT'S HAPPENING. THERE IS NO LAW ENFORCEMENT OVERSIGHT. That's why we are here helping Terri.

That's a new number that WASN'T AVAILABLE in 2003. Maybe they've been preparing for an onslaught of national outrage and the need for a full blown investigation re: why this one disabled woman's civil rights are being violated, ending in an untimely death I call MURDER BY MEDICAID?

KILLER KOUPONS.... Those people are really SICK. They cannot grasp the concept of natural death. They must STARVE AND MURDER THE DISABLED AND THE ELDERLY BEFORE THEIR TIME for the profit margin of all the corporations that exist once you get past the name of the non-profit org. THIS IS BIG MONEY, IT IS MURDER FRANCHISING. It used to be to help people, but it's something insidious and evil now. Director Mary Labyak has been written up a lot on the internet. I'm sure she's the lady who told the police to stay off the grass "BECAUSE WE WERE KILLING IT" while they were starving Terri inside.

LABYAK HAS LOTS OF BUSINESSES BESIDES THE HOSPICE OF SUNCOAST.

Just keep in mind the Felos can say whatever he wants to. He is not a doctor. Some attorneys are also doctors ya know. Not him. Felos is spinning himself into a dither. If you saw him in person, his transparency is very obvious imo. The Judge is almost blind though so don't expect Greer to ever see the truth.

Terri should get a HOSPICE AWARD. She holds the record for outliving all the other patients because SHE'S NOT TERMINALLY ILL OR HAS ANY DISEASE PROCESSES. Give that girl a medal and take Greer's awards away that he got from the Clearwater Bar.

The Clearwater Bar is to Greer as Chemical Ali is to Saddam Hussein. Always mining for victims (wards).
