Arab astrologer predicts Bush assassination
Oracle famed for prophesying deaths of Diana, Yassin, Arafat
© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com
A Tunisian astrologer who reportedly predicted the deaths of Princess Diana, Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and Yasser Arafat says President Bush will be killed by an assassin's bullet in 2005.
So seriously are Hassan al-Sharibi's predictions taken in the Arab world that a similar prophecy about Palestinian Liberation Organization leader Mahmoud Abbas has resulted in increased security around the candidate to replace Arafat as president of the Palestinian Authority.
Abbas' aides put a "great deal of credence" in the prediction, according to a source quoted by the Jerusalem Post.
However, the paper tempered its report by saying critics label Sharibi "a quack with flair who relies on logic and wishful thinking. After all, predicting Yassin's assassination he was Israel's 'public enemy No. 1' and the death of an already ailing Arafat are hardly major feats."
Soothsaying is not unusual, nor forbidden, in Islam as it is in Christianity and Judaism. Muslim caliphs relied on court astrologers as early as the eighth century, according to the report in the Jerusalem Post.
Sharibi also predicted the sudden death of Saddam Hussein before his trial begins.
"The Middle East region will be sitting on a volcano in 2005, and the situation in Iraq will get even more dramatic as Saddam Hussein is expected to die suddenly before his trial even starts," Sharibi said, according to a report by United Press International.
What's funny is the ones who start this stuff don't realize that you would need 100 presidents(maybe more not sure about the math) to have a sample big enough to mean anything.
Thank you for the reply.
John
Exactly, and JRK was lucky not to have been shot by some jealous husband before his deal happened.

It is indeed wishful thinking. But it's always possible. If it happens it sets up a President Cheney to appoint Condi Rice as Veep.
I wouldn't doubt that one of the leftist Bush haters over at DU would just love to kill the president.
We used to get Jean Dixon's predictions every year about this time. She was about 50% correct 50% of the time.
But, heck, I could too:
'Some famous movie star will die in 2005.'
'There will be an earthquake in South America in 2005.'
'July 2005 will be hot in the southwestern USA.'
'A big snowstorm will hit the northeastern USA in early 2005.'
'
This is a totally bigoted and insensitive comment which probably would offend all the worlds Muslims ... BRAVO
That was the cleverest thing I have heard in a coon's age.
Another old pseudo-prophecy was that Islam will exist until man walks on the Moon (hey, I've not checked this out with those so-called urban legends websites, so don't anyone start on me), and that has obviously been ignored -- although I can't help but think that the Myth of the Faked Moon Landings may owe some of its longevity to this. ;')
Here's a prediction:
A large vessel will be sunk in the Mediterranean in 2005.

2005 astrological predictions by Tunisian astrologer Hassan Al Sharibi
Sharibi, who gained fame after predicting the death of Princess Diana in 1997 and the outbreak of the Gulf War in 1991, also said that it is possible that Syria and Israel might engage in a new war.
"The Middle East region will be sitting on a volcano in 2005 and the situation in Iraq will get even more dramatic as Saddam Hussein is expected to die suddenly before his trial even starts," Sharibi predicted.
"Osama Bin Laden will be captured and tried quickly to make up for US setbacks in Iraq," he said.
Sharibi said that a senior Iraqi cleric would be the target of an assassination attempt, leading to an unprecedented rise of violence in Iraq and that several Palestinian leaders would be targeted by assassins, further complicating the situation in the Palestinian territories.
He said that another scandal would hit US forces in Iraq, worse than the Abu Ghraib prison torture scandal, forcing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to resign.
"Most of the other astrologers seem to mirror the Arab astrologer."
New agey folks are generally rubber-stamp partisan Dims, although they generally profess no partisan affiliation.
You are famous over at DU. They are making fun of you and this "Racist" thread.
a "covering all the bases" astrology ping. ;')
WORLD PREDICTIONS into 2005
2004 June Update

Quote "Bush may have trouble holding onto power if Howard Dean's January 2005 aspects are anything to go by."
Howard Dean has dropped out of the Presidential race, which may not be such a bad thing for him. The dangerous planetary aspects currently surrounding this normally prestigious position may not be worth the sacrifice. Currently Bush, who once held the title as America's most popular leader, lags behind Democrat challenger John Kerry and I'll address these two and the upcoming US election a little later on in this article.
... A word on the Presidential elections. John Kerry imposes the aggressive martial energy on the US horoscope. Kerry, born with Mars and Uranus together, brings both to align with America's Uranus. This planet has been so often associated with war or assassinations. Consider that the Civil War began with America's Uranus returning to its birthplace position for the first time, the second return proclaimed D-Day.
Kerry's self-sufficient Moon/Saturn combination, falls right on America's Mars. Kerry would like to organise the military, like a real disciplinarian. Being born under a Full Moon is a guarantee of objectivity and usually publicity too. His Sagittarian Sun and Ascendant projects natural optimism, but it is realistically tempered via its opposition to the Moon and Saturn. Kerry places Neptune on the Midheaven of the United States. Therefore he may come across as a very charismatic character, but will he deliver his promises? The difficulty with this placement lies is bringing things to fruition.
Kerry's rise to power has also cost him dearly. As Pluto moved across his Ascendant and birth Sun he lost those close to him and also was operated on for cancer. In true Plutonian terms he has literally risen from the ashes to become a Presidential front-runner leading into the 2004 elections. On the day of the showdown, November 2, Kerry will have the beneficial combination of Venus and Jupiter passing his Midheaven and in his career house. Pluto will still be in the vicinity of his Sun, and the transiting Nodes will move across his Venus. It's a popular arrangement, enough for him to give the biggest race of his life a real shake.
Incumbent George W. Bush has to survive a Saturn return to win a second term. It's a case of either kudos for a job well done or the past returning to haunt. Bush does have some difficult aspects on the day. Mars opposes his career related Midheaven. The Sun, which squares Neptune on Election Day, is also squaring his Mercury/Pluto union.
On George's progressed chart his Midheaven is in line with Uranus and transiting Pluto comes to oppose his progressed Midheaven. This too supports a sudden change of career. These are the sorts of aspects that propose an overthrow of the existing order. They may serve you well if you are re-structuring your life. But they'd be more productive for someone hoping to secure a surprise win, rather than maintain the status quo, which of course George hopes to do.

That should get some kind of award, the a FRoscar, FRemmy, or FRolden FRobe.
Aw Man...I missed what the troll had to say.
