A group of us thought it would be nice to have a thread where we could all be on Christmas Eve, to share our homes and thanksgiving.
What better place to be and enjoy the season than right here, with the friends we have fought along side for the last year to make our country a better place.
We have a LOT to be thankful for this year.
Please take time to share your thoughts and joys and family traditions; let us know what you're doing tonight.

I am with cat dog and horse this Christmas and I am really, really enjoying the solitude here in the Hill Country.

Have a thick beef stew roiling on the stove, delivered pecan brittle to next-door neighbors, one of whom just had a new bull calf born, got to see the calf, am burning a pile of cut cedar and a big fire in the fireplace. And now, just a little nip of white wine...

Good evening and Merry Christmas, Howlin. I was just passing the time until I fulfill my mission to make Santa Claus appear at the home of my 3 year old granddaughter. No, no, I am not fat nor do I need to wear a red suit and white beard. They will be out for a few hours while I make the magic happen. This is a good opportunity to wish all FReepers a most wonderful Christmas. I think we have had a very good year.
I'm just going to wish a Merry Christmas to everyone, particularly the ACLU. I know that they have had their hands full filing frivolous lawsuits to ban Christmas

Howlin, it has indeed been quite a year. Don't know how I could have lived through it if it hadn't been for FreeRepublic.
I'll be going to visit friends later this evening, and eating too many goodies.
