(hyperventilating with disgust for federal investigatory agency) I'm beginning to think that schoolyard crossing guards could do better work than our alphabet agencies with tasks like this one! They have less and less credibility as time goes on and incidents like this one go unchallenged. I understand the constraints law enforcement personnel are under, but when it comes to Homeland Security issues, immigration and suspicious activity investigations deserve HOT AND HEAVY-HANDED action, geared to specific laws already on the books to deal with these issues.
If enforcement means tent cities of incarceration, so be it. Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Phoenix does quite well with this scenario and actually gets deadbeat dads to fork out back child-support or stay in jail and eat baloney sandwiches every day. This man is a legend in Phoenix and law enforcement around the USA could stand to learn from his efforts.
From the article you posted on Steve:
All the big guns of American Islamism, plus a few of their dupes, aligned to foil Pipes and, above all, Steven Emerson! Emerson should be proud. But the Islamists will not prevail. Truth, of which Emerson is an outstanding defender and partisan, will prevail. MPAC should save themselves the trouble and cancel their hatefest. However much they may wish it were not true, Islamism will be defeated in America, in large part thanks to the efforts begun and continued by Steven Emerson.
Any chance he's aligned with this German article?
Sadly Bear, there are plenty of those
do you have a more direct link?
"
On the topic of airlines, does anybody have second thoughts about the baggage problems in Philadelphia?"
They call it the blue flu....unions.
The idiots will sink their own jobs.
They know the airline is going down no matter what they do, and they want their money out of it before that happens. (brother-in-law is a pilot for another major carrier)
You probably are correct but how does the "blue flu" bring them money aside from a paid sick day(unless you think they went through all that missing luggage looking for bounty and loot?)
Typical union action to warn what an all-out strike would do to the carrier. Think of it as a "shot across the bow".

I thought about your piracy reports when news of the tsunamis surfaced. Perhaps a few of these "pirates" will no longer be able to terrorize others as a minor benefit of the tsunamis (if any can be found at all). Prayers for the victims and those assisting in this area of horrendous death and destruction.
That's what I thought at first. However, coincidentally the Delta subsidiary shuts down because of computer problems. Then coincidentally UPS and FedEx get snarled (overnight packages take 7 days). Today when trying to rent a van I'm told that FedEx and UPS have reserved ALL available vans until the new year. What's going on?
Could be a domino effect from one carrier getting snarled. Are you wondering about the possibility of some kind of coordinated action akin to a denial of service attack on the internet?

Unless you want the victims charged for the "aid."
Just DAMN. Nobody remembers history! I watched the slow and painful death of Eastern Airlines in my home of Miami (EAL HQ) just not too long ago. Shot across the bow? More like torpedo's in the engine room!
LOL!
Even in Chicago, I've heard of Sheriff Joe. :-)
If you watch the video at the link, they follow the path that these 'tourists' took around the nuclear plant.
It indeed boggles the mind that the feds can say with a straight face definitively that terrorism is not a factor!
Yet...3 of the men are still being held.
Go figure...
