That's what I thought at first. However, coincidentally the Delta subsidiary shuts down because of computer problems. Then coincidentally UPS and FedEx get snarled (overnight packages take 7 days). Today when trying to rent a van I'm told that FedEx and UPS have reserved ALL available vans until the new year. What's going on?

Could be a domino effect from one carrier getting snarled. Are you wondering about the possibility of some kind of coordinated action akin to a denial of service attack on the internet?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They do have a sorry sorry computer program. *NOT for tracking flights* but with reservation, booking, seat arrangement etc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They need all the extra trucks for Christmas. My UPS lady is unusually here about 2:30 the week before Christmas was 4:00 and later.

My wife sent a nice poinsettia to my aunt and uncle in North Carolina on Dec 20th with a scheduled delivery date of Dec 23rd. It was left on the doorstep at 11:38 AM Dec 27th. Because of the late delivery, the plant arrived AFTER they traveled to Norfolk, VA for Christmas. They arrived home today, Dec 28th, to find a frozen poinsettia on the porch. They apparently have a "no signature required" form on file with FedEx.

The plant was late and frozen. ProFlowers terms and conditions absolve them of responsibility after handing the plants to FedEx. FedEx claims an out because of the "no signature" form. I'm out $42 and my aunt & uncle have a yucky, frozen poinsettia.
