SEATTLE, Dec. 22 - After a bitter and protracted recount fight in the Washington governor's race, elections officials announced Wednesday that the Democratic candidate, Christine O. Gregoire, was leading her Republican opponent by 10 votes - a minuscule margin but a stunning reversal of the Nov. 2 election results.
The preliminary results elated Democratic Party officials and came only hours after the party scored another victory, when the State Supreme Court agreed with the Democrats' contention that more than 700 newly discovered and erroneously disqualified ballots in heavily Democratic King County should now be considered.
Since those ballots came from a county where Ms. Gregoire, 57, already had a solid lead, the ruling could allow her to increase her extraordinarily tiny edge in a race that is the closest in state history and one of the closest in the nation's history.

You're welcomed. :^DI lived in the Spokane, Washington area from 1966-1969. We have an
aunt in Seattle that we used to visit all the time while we were there, too.
She still lives there, in the same house.
And I'll bet money that they're trying to print enough in Ohio to try to pull the presidential election steal off, too.
Thank you for that post.bump! bump! bump!
hehe!Yeah, I know. I didn't ping the kitties actually thinkin'
the 'official' FR Troll would get zotted. But it is instructional if they see this, I guess.
Thank you, sir! :^D
Well, yes. She hasn't been around awhile and newer FReepers have yet to be introduced.
Pierce and Snohomish "new" votes went disproportionately to Gregoire. Has this been noted already?
Found it. (Duh, 117)
But democrats are not to blame here. Its been common knowledge in Pierce County that the democratic party county auditor appoints the republican poll workers who count the vote. Furthermore, stored ballots are not kept under two locks, but only one lock, which is kept under the control democrats. Republicans deserved to lose this election.Man. That's disappointing, then. :^(
excellant Oz parody!
Thanks for pinging the Washington freepers to this thread.
Christine Gregoir is an incompetent corrupt boob, who has cost the state of Washinton millions of dollars
Please see my post#88.
Christine Gregoire, as the State Attorney General for the state of Washington advised the Secratary of State, on a ballot recount in 1996.
-It was 180 degrees opposite of her current position on her own election recount challenge.
Gregoire advised that:
"Challenge of Ballots Not Allowed."
" We are advised by the Attorney General [Christine Gregoire] that state law makes no provision for the challenge of ballots or voters (as provided in RCW29.10.125) during the recount."
"The recount procedure provided for by statute is a mechanical function of re-tallying the ballots cast and accepted as valid by the precinct election officers or the canvassing board during the canvass of the election."
"The decision of the canvassing board with respect to the inclusion or exclusion of a particular ballot during the canvass is not open to question during the recount."

yup, very true.
Merry Christmas, FRiend
Yep, caught that; good find. Hypocrisy means nothing to Dims; winning means everything. They know they're right so nothing else matters in their little world. They can't be shamed, embarrassed, cajoled, or otherwise shown the light because they don't want to see. These foolish utopian dreamers will have to be dealt with in some fashion. It appears the ballot box is finally working the way it should....with some noted exceptions. I'm hoping we conservatives have finally awakened from our slumber. If so, we can take our country back. And maybe just in the nick of time.

Rats have found a surefire strategy:
Challenge the tossed out ballots in a liberal county, where you control the election canvassing board, then shake, rattle and jigger the ballots like a gumball machine, until they get the votes needed.
This is the future of Rat politics.
Good to hear from you FGS! I haven't conversed with you in a while.
Have a Merry Christmas, my FRiend.
Thank you. And happy to ping the folks .....
Past, present and future I'm afraid. I've been led to believe they've been running these scams since at least the 60's. I suspect vote fraud has been going on as long as there have been votes. Gotta admit, the Dims have redefined the practice though, ham fisted as it is.
A major part of the problem once again is a complicit media that refuses to inform and enlighten. Cheerleaders for the socialists; boobirds for conservatives. Tough life ain't it.
Have a Merry Christmas, my FRiend.
Thank you FBD, and a very Merry CHIRISTmas to you and yours.

Wow! Talk about a smoking gun!
Has Rossi ever used this quote or did his reps use this in arguments in front of the Washington State Supreme Court?
Why is it that Republicans never seem to learn "Two can play at that game." Are there no heavily Republican counties in need of a recount. Certainly not all ballots in those counties were counted. Or is it only in Democratic counties where votes turn up after the election?
Seriously, what is wrong with the Republicans in Washington state? They should throw the whole thing into a scorched Earth recount.
I have not seen you in forever! Hope you're having a great Christmas, and staying warm!
Hey, maybe that's what's in my back seat. I thought that was just junk, but it could be Washington state ballots. (The fact that my back seat and I are in Houston puzzles me, true, but stranger things have happened.)
