Deer Barges Into N.C. Newspaper Office
1 hour, 44 minutes ago Strange News - AP
EDEN, N.C. - Employees of the Eden Daily News scattered when a deer barged through the front door of the newspaper office, jumping over desks and hitting a glass window before running out the same door.
During the brief commotion around noon Tuesday, the doe spread blood around the office from injuries she received and toppled a Christmas tree.
Advertising representative Mike Redman jumped across a counter when he saw the deer heading toward him. Redman eventually held open the door until the deer finished banging into office furniture and the window and escaped.
"It was pitiful," said ad representative Linda Kallam. "She couldn't comprehend that it was glass and she couldn't get out of it."

looks like the deer was Christmas hating liberal
this also calls to mind all the people that say deer are innocent creatures and think of Bambi's mother being shot by the evil hunter.
"...the deer then went on to eat the asphalt on the road to get to the salt costing tax payers money. PETA is also issuing a decree to boycott roads and salting the roads in the winter time."
Hmm i wonder. Could you shoot the deer (i think its out of season) might get in trouble for hunting within city limits though, but if they claimed it was in self defense?

A friend of mine hunts every weekend just a few miles from there.
I'll blame him.

This definitely would qualify for one of those "When Animals Attack" videos if only someone had recorded it! Good thing it wasn't a buck!

No doubt the deer was going after a hunter that worked in the office. Like that Far Side cartoon.

This happened at my DH's office last year, too. Very scarey, but no one was hurt (deer included.)
Deer Crashes Through Middleton Business Window

MIDDLETON, Wis. -- There were some scary moments for workers at a Middleton business Tuesday morning when a deer decided to stop by.
Two deer standing outside Springs Window Fashions decided to make a run for it, but one went inside the business.
The deer crashed through a big window into an executive's office. The office was empty.
The animal then moved on to a cubicle where someone was working.
The Dane County Humane Society was called in to tranquilize the deer. No one was hurt in the incident.

I didn't know if it was moose or elk. We have them both in my state, although I haven't seen moose, which are only in the UP.
All I know is that I wouldn't want to be unarmed and going one on one with either one during rutting season.

Even a whitetail can be very dangerous when it's got love on it's mind.

Oh, that's too similar to a video going around on email: "Never pull over on side of road to use the bathroom."
Un-friggin'-believable.
