Saw enough "Costco" Topics here, figured there would be some interest: Received this from Chad Baus of OFCC yesterday:
The following was sent to OFCC - writer isn't a CCW-Talker, but said I could post this sans his name:

It would be GREAT if anyone in a state OTHER THAN Ohio, would stop by the Costco nearest you next time you are in the area. See if they have a sign. If yes OR no post it here, or e-mail me at:kkacer@catlover.com with the address sate and your zip code (I can find the store zip that way and makes it easier for you).
And if anyone would care to let Costco know what you think: Member Services: 800-774-2678
Web address: http://www.costco.com
Costco's corporate mailing address is: PO Box 34331 Seattle, WA 98124
Costco's corporate offices are located at: 999 Lake Drive Issaquah, WA 98027
Have at.
Correction: "I Texas" should read "In Texas."
Sign, sign, everywhere a sign Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?
Under Ohio law a business does have the right to prohibit people from carrying firearms inside their establishment. If you violate it, you're violating the law.
Costco has the legal right to keep law-abiding gun owners out of their stores. Law-abiding gun owners have the right, and maybe even the responsibility, to avoid the Criminal Protection Zones and take their business elsewhere.
If you don't like his rules, do not go onto his property. Are you simply hard of thinking, or did you take a graduate course in missing the point?
LOL.
You're not there all the time, 'cuz I know you're out shopping at Costco with your gun in tow.
You may be the only person on the planet interested in taking a picture of my a$$. I don't know whether to be grateful or kinda scared.
And you're perfectly within your rights to put up that no trespassing sign, but, of course, I'm under no obligation to respect it.
So you would march like a sheep into the showers?
Don't be stupid--airports are one place they (mostly) do the gun ban thing right.
Judging who is fit to exercise which rights is a hobby of the lunatic left. They think they are the only ones who can be trusted with freedom, even if they have to take it from everyone else. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your point of view) in this society, we generally only punish people and limit their freedoms after they have abused that particular freedom. In your utopian society you apparently want to punish people before they abuse a freedom, in case they might do something bad.
And thus proves the value of signs.
Why then should we not have laws that give the same protection "blacks" receive to gun owners?
I worked my way through college as one of those guards. Thank you for the gratuitous slam at those who work for a living; it really helps make your case.
And yes, I would complain if they nabbed me. They'd be told they are nothing but gun-grabbing Nazis.
And then you'd be ejected from the store. I've dealt with people who called me a Nazi because I wouldn't uphold their "right" to "free speech" on my employers' property. They still got ejected. If you don't like the store owner's rules, don't patronize his store, end of story.
Stores should be careful about making such policies in areas where a large part of their customers believe in the 2nd amendment--people might suddenly find they've become clumsy, and start knocking items off the shelf (accidently of course).
You know, there's really not that much difference between you and the loony leftists who "accidentally" start fires that burn up SUV dealerships and new construction homes in "environmentally sensitive" areas. You both feel perfectly justified in destroying others' property to make your point.
NEWS FLASH: THE UNIVERSE DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND YOU, AUNTIE.
In God's country where I live, only the state can regulate guns. A private property owner can make a policy against guns, but they can't make it a crime to violate their policy.
As I've stated previously, even if I violated a law, I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. There's always jury nullification. Most people are capable of knowing when "...the law is an ass..."
Yeah, well if that bulge they grab is not my gun they'll have bigger problems than worrying about losing cutomers because of a stupid sign.
Nope. Costco Wholesale is a Stock Holders owned company. COST is the symbol. We get confused with COSCO all the time.
If you wear that to a wedding,,,,,, you're probably a redneck. If you wear that to,,,,,,,,, Oh never mind.
Where?
I said I didn't want to see firearms in my store and I stand by that statement. A concealed weapon should stay concealed unless needed. Period.
