If so, I'll start off.
The Good Lord willing, Sheila and I will be there accompanied by Syncro, and we'll be staying at the Washington Plaza Hotel. Chris is working and won't be able to take time off to drive us across country so our good friend Syncro has offered to take us. We'll be taking the southern route and will spend a few days in Florida before heading up to Washington, DC. Hope to visit as many chapters as we can along the way. And if anyone wants to join a cross country convoy, that would be great!
Sheila and I are thinking about cowboy hats and boots. We're in the mood for some boot, scoot and boogie!
Chris may be able to take a couple days off so he can fly out for the Ball, but he doesn't know yet. John and Tami will also be there and her son Nicky and her mom.
This is going to be a great ball!
Hope to see you there!!
Hi Piano,
Here is a link to the party thread:

It is on Jan 2, 2005. Hope to see you there. I'm glad I posted to the Inagural Ball thread, yours in the second query I've gotten about the tri-state party.
The more the merrier!
If the link doesn't work search "tri-state" that'll find it for you.
Merry Christmas!

Pajamas and FReeper Patrol badges are in bigtime.
We were planning to wear formal attire, but now we may switch to Texas garb.
We're staying at the Washington Plaza.
Here's the original:
Been on the list since the get-go. We were at the 2001 blast.......but financially things are not looking good for us to be there.
If we can make it - and I should know next week- we won't be staying, we'll be driving home that night. All 4 hours of the drive.
I can't go this time around but I'm looking forward to the after-action reports! Have fun, folks, raise a glass to those of us who'll be with you in spirit!
GREAT pix!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm. (Mercenary instincts rise...) That's a consideration, but it would have to be BYOB -- bring your own book, (There's still time to order it before the Inauguration!)
Then we can have a Book-Signing and Science Fiction discussion group.
(Heh, heh, heh...)
I bet you guys are going to have a grate time on your road trip back east with Syncro at the wheel. :-)
Peter W. Kessler, his wife (Pete's Wife) and their son, Nick will be there!
We arrive Wednesday 1/19, and we'll be staying at the Holiday Inn Washington Capitol 'til Saturday.
We can't wait to see you all!
Don't know anyone in DC. Don't have a date. Don't have a dress. I'm still getting through Christmas!!!
I am going with three others: My wife Joanne, Dr. Wesley McDonald (author of the new biography: Russell Kirk and the Age of Ideology) and his wife Alice. We live 2 1/2 hours away in South Central Pennsylvania. We haven't booked a hotel yet because we are considering just renting a limo from here for the day and coming directly home after the ball. If that's too rich, we'll end up staying in Maryland and going the subway route. There still seem to be plenty of rooms available in the suburbs.
I'll be wearing a long ball gown with way too much skin showing! Brrrrr!
Alas, I cannot attend the festivities. I can, however, offer a heart-felt and much-deserved BTTT!
We'll be flying up on the 19th and departing on the 21st.
Staying @ the Comfort Inn - Alexandria on Van Dorn St.
I'll be wearing the Dress Blues, and the wife will be wearing some sort of evening Gown.
We're ready to Rock-n-Roll.
See Y'all in DC!
WooHoo!
Hi everyone - Dorothy and Joe here. We are from Virginia, of course, and just moved our hotel reservations to the Club Quarters in downtown D. C. We were booked at
The Days Inn in Arlington but wanted to get closer in town. We are probably paying triple what the room usually rents for. Oh well.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.
We will be at the Holiday Inn in Bethesda. Crap, this reminds me I have to mail my check in.......
Sure hope we can make the Inauguration Eve get together - any news on that front yet?
We plan on dressing formal - any excuse to get dressed up.
