The fight will be in the Republican primaries. Either Hillary or Dean would capture the Dem ones.

The problem is that our strongest candidates nationally appeal very little to the hardcore Republican primary voters.

I have no doubt that Guiliani could win a national election. I don't think he can win a Republican primary battle unless nobody is contesting him. So could McCain. So could Schwarzenegger if it were possible.

There is no heir-apparent conservative. At least not yet. And I don't want to hear any objections from the TANCREDO FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!! crowd.

Morris is peddling his peculiar brand of horse pucky very early in the 2008 election cycle.

Must need money to rent some toes.

There are times when I think Dick Morris knows what's what.

This is not one of them.

The Hildebeast's nomination and subsequent loss would mean the end of the Dumbocratic Party. I think they're eventually going to realize that and pick somebody like Bill Richardson or Evan Byah.

But it would be fun to see Shrillary and Condi in a debate; Condi would wipe the floor with her. It would definitely not be the same as Obama vs. Keys.

Dick Morris just predicted on Fox that the Dem '08 nominee is Hillary in a walk off. Says only R who can both get nominated (sorry Rudy)and elected is Condi Rice.

Dick Morris now seems to be in the same category that Zogby finds himself - few now believe him. This is just some more of his BS! I am a great admirer of Dr. Rice, however; much will happen during the next four years and neither of these women will likely be elected president in 2008.

No thinking politician would ever let Dick Morris close enough to their inner circle to actually know squat. I am sick of that smarmy, toe sucking opportunist.

Governors win and win on 'time for a change', especially after 8 years.

Hitery will be a relic of the past by then. She won't win.

I am stunned at those who think Hillary can't win the nomination and can't win in 2008.

The nomination? Anyone who challenges her will be chewed up and spit out into little pieces by the still-influential MSM. In fact, I'm wondering if anyone with stature will even dare to challenge her. She'll have to talk Dennis Kucinich into running again, which would also serve to make her look more "moderate" and "reasonable."

The general election? Three questions:
- What state that Kerry won would Hillary lose? (....crickets chirping.....)
- What states that Kerry lost could Hillary win? (Arkansas, Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, maybe 1-2 others--more than enough to win, even if she "loses" the popular vote by 5 million vote or more, which is a distinct possibility)
- What Republican can stop her? (too early to tell)

Stopping her will be a Herculean task, especially now that she's moving to the right of the GOP on immigration (I know she doesn't mean it, but it still looks like it to most people).

Knowing Hillary and the Democrats they would still try to use the "race card."

There are 4 years until the next election. Morris will change his tune at least 1,400 times between now and then

What difference does it make in 2008 who the candidate is? for either party?

The election in 2004 was not won because G.W. Bush was the candidate as much as it was the Republican Party representing the centrist moderate voters. If we forget that, then the Dim's will regain control. If we find that it was true then W takes that with him at term end anyway.

If the Dim's can convince the swing voter that they have something better then they will regain control. And do it with whatever they can find or promise to appease them with.

I continue to state that no election in our history has ever been won because of extreme left or right support, but the man in the middle shifting to the call of the piper.

We must continue to represent the centrist voter or fall beside the way again. j

I'm not so sure about Morris' prediction ratio. I heard that he predicted OSU wouldn't win the Alamo Bowl this year.

If it is true, that the left wing kooks are taking over the Democrat party, the chances of any Republican winning goes up.

Right now a lot of people say no pro abortion Republican can get the nomination. I don't know what Dr. Rice's position is on that issue. Nevertheless, her chances will depend upon the outcome in Iraq since her involvement is rather deep.

No thanks. Pro-aborts need not apply.

If the stupid party wants to guarantee a loss in 2008, then nominate a pro-abort like Rice or Rudy.

Wonder if there would be any catfights during the Presidential Elections? Promises to be entertaining. I will be able to vote then. I'd vote for Condi anyday.
