Hardee's Monster Burger Creates Uproar (pics)
Yahoo ^

Posted on 12/07/2004 10:27:12 AM PST by Next_Time_NJ

A Monster Thickburger bought by a reporter Monday at a St. Louis Hardee's was presented appealingly enough, wrapped neatly in light paper and standing a whopping 2 1/2 inches tall inside a box. But the double-pattied behemoth, bought as part of combo with French fries and a drink, stretched the mouth and stomach, too much for the reporter to absorb in one sitting.

You obviously haven't seen the commercial. Comment after you have seen it.

I'd rather eat 40 White Castle burgers.

All my life I'd heard people rave about White Castle burgers. Then I happened across a White Castle and figured I'd see what the deal was.

BLECH!! I've eaten cardboard that had more flavor and juice to it than those bloody things. It was total crap.

This burger's been out for years. Who did Hardee's pay to notice it?

I have seen the commercial. She simply rides the mechanical bull. Now if you take that to mean something else, that's your problem.

It was a Carl's Jr., not Bob's Jr.

Having a discussion about hamburgers with Prime Choice...hmmmmm

Y'all need to come to Baltimore, go to a lovely neighborhood bar called Alonzos and get their "meal in a basket". It's a cheeseburger and fries, but I think the burger is about a pound and a half (after cooking).

Now I know you can get a burger that size at Cheeburger Cheeburger, and maybe even get your photo on a wall, but this is much better than those.

Hardee's sells the nastiest food on the planet.

Can I have a diet coke with that please!

Yup, you see that behavior all the time. "I'm trying to lose weight. BTW, can I have another burger? And bring a chocolate milk shake."

You have to grow up near one and start out a young age. Trust me, they're addictive. Kinda like those rectangle pizzas we used to get in school cafeterias. I swear there must have been some kind of addictive chemical in those things. Why else would I crave one at times when I could just easily have a Papa John's?

You can't get good food at a Hardee's. Not since the Huskee Jr anyway.

I would concur. I remember when Hardee's big selling point was that their burgers were charcoal broiled. Before they really hit it big, there was a Hardee's in Marshalltown, Iowa that I would go out of my way to dine at. It was heaven.

Then it went franchise and it was all downhill from there.

I am convinced that some people could watch a Charmin commercial and scream "GAWDLESS WHORE!" at the TV set.

Possibly the worst burger ever. I think the best is either Danvers or Dixie Queen.

Yeah. Sure she does. If you honestly believe that, you are the most naive person I have ever met.

Also when one eats a White Castle Burger, prepare for the dash to the bathroom run..

I agree. LOL Surprised there hasn't been an outrage about the Charmin bears. I mean, can you believe that they let them show those bears naked and we all know what those bears are doing behind the tree with the newspaper and toilet paper! LOL
