Tonight George Noory is interviewing John Taylor Gatto, once NYC Teacher of the Year, turned author History of Education in America and Dumbing Us Down. John Taylor Gatto has also been labelled "homeschooling guru" by many American homeschooling groups and families.
From the Coast to Coast site:
"Legendary teacher and reformer, John Taylor Gatto, looks at our classrooms and how they are evolving generations that may not contribute to a healthy society in the future."

Thank you for your kind words. It wasn't easy but it sure was worth it. I will tell you that I worked a job outside the home to help support my parents, both of whom were ill.
I would have much rather come and home cooked dinner, cleaned up and put my feet up watched TV or read a book. Instead, I invested my time in my kids, my daughter and my nephews (when they were living with me) and it paid off for them. And, it will pay off for anyone who invests themselves in the lives of young people. They are our future and they are well worth anything we can do to help them.
Knock off the personal attacks
Bump for later...
I don't care. Just knock it off.
Bell is so adroit at handling guests, his style goes unnoticed unless you're watching for it. The guest is the star. The audience is always engaged and rewarded with new information. He has a superbly subtle sense of humor, and his bumper music choices always have some innuendo about the subject matter. His mastery of theme and continuity make the time just fly. His shows should be taped and outlined for lessons in hosting guests on radio.
Oh. If you've never heard Art Bell in his prime, you've missed some great American folklore and storytelling.
I mean Russian meteors, missing submarines, Chupacabras, earthquake geologists, Rosicrucians, Big Foot researchers, Dr. Mitiu Kaku, cold fusion, missing-link anthropology, ancient mythology, flying saucer sightings, bibilical research and exorcisms!
What's not to like?
I've never heard him, only this Noory character. I know that the times I've listened to Coast to Coast I've heard the most ridiculous, paranoid, vain, and foolish speculations tossed about. I - me - personally - think such things are like sugar to a persons' brain. I have precious little of that to feed junk to.
And all the hair follical stuff too!
We have been discussing inexpensive ways to fast track kids through high school to avoid the liberal agenda:

The thread title was not well thought out, because some parents might instinctively skip over it due to attached stigma, whether real or imagined.
