I'm gonna prime the pump. My wife and I will be sending $500 as a small thank you to these men and women for protecting our grandchildren.
Super article, Tonk! Thanks for the ping!
If we send the cards to "Any Service Member," will they get there, or will that violate security?

Address to: Any American soldier
I think the American Red Cross is sorting through them so don't seal them so they can check them out first.
Put them into a larger envelope addressed to the Red Cross. Then I think you can address the cards themselves to "Any Service Member."
Thanks Tonk!
Consider it done!!

I'm glad you pointed out it was the American - because when I saw Red Cross - my first thought was I wonder how much will really get to the soldiers -
The International branch is corrupt beyond belief - let's hope the American Red Cross can still be counted on - but the events of 9/11 are still fresh in the mind - if it hadn't been for O'Reilly the families of 9/11 would probably still be waiting for relief from the Red Cross - It's hard to trust them again after what went on - just my opinion -
There have to be other places that are set up to aid the military -
The Salvation Army is great for aiding - too bad no group is together helping the military from this charity - they can be counted on - Great record -
I am going to look into helping the Servicemen but it will not be through the Red Cross.
Hell, they actually created the RED CRESCENT so we could go HELP Muslims. WTF!?!?! They can't take help from someone because they are the "Red Cross"?
F 'em. I'm sick of this crap, period. The Red Cross, or crescent or menora or Bodhi tree, or whatever they are called can count me out of EVER giving them a cent. If "Multi-Culturalism" is so damn important to them maybe they can like the fact that the RED CROSS seeks to help all people. If I was in a bad way and some Jewish Group came to help me, I wouldn't demand they take the Jewish symbols away. What sane culture would?
I thank Tonk for bringing this to my attention but I will be helping with Direct Donations. Never again will I deal with the Red Cross.
I don't care if certain factions are not bad. If they are not bad, than get them to talk to thier international brethren about thier insanity.
Arioch7 out!
