Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is calling for a review of federally funded sexual abstinence programs.
The Tennessee Republican told A-B-C's "This Week" program that federal officials should look into allegations that the programs give students false and misleading medical information.
California Democratic Congressman Henry Waxman says the programs give out false information about condoms and the effects of abortion. He also accuses the programs of blurring science and religion and getting fundamental scientific facts wrong.
Frist, who's a doctor, didn't directly address the issues raised. But he says the programs should be reviewed.

How many times did the Democrats agree to look into Republican complaints during the clinton years? As I recall, only when they were subpoenaed, and then they cooperated the absolute least they could manage.
Frist is a fool if he gives the Dems yet another grandstanding committee, all the leftist members of which will appear on the the MSM talk shows ad nauseam.
Just say "no," Bill. This story has no legs unless you help provide them.

Joycelyn Elders allegedly got fired from the Clinton Administration for suggesting teaching masturbation. Actually she had accrued a number of gaffes before that suggestion.
If masturbation advocacy was so important to her that it cost her a job, why didn't she take it upon her shoulders to push the issue once she was in the private sector?
She could have even gotten Eric Clapner to contribute a song to the movement.

Furthermore, he needs to shave his muff-muncher from the upper lip. Is there a shortage of shaving cream in this country?

Actually, sex ed isn't a "one size fits all". In CA, for example, 5th grade -- there were 7 different sex-ed packages. The programs were geared to the socio-economics of the location in language, material, presentation, and. uh.. nuance.

I doubt if Frist's balls are visible without a tweezer and microscope.
WHY must the GOP insist on selecting political eunuchs to "lead" the party?

You kwazy wabbit. OUCH!!! Reno, Helen Thomas, and Hillary could probably use this therapy once the hard-hats jack-hammer their crusty panytsuits from their thighs. Then stand back and make certain that there are a few 40 pound bags of lime close by; and you're performing this procedure upwind. Phewwww.

Well, for a few thousand centuries, no one needed to figure out sex, intercourse, whatever label you want to put on the act, of a male and a woman copulating. I figured it out all by myself 40 years ago. This whole sex-ed "training" is what I sarcastically call 'mental masturbation.'
My wife of 35 years have raised two children and have gran-children on the way. No one taught me how to poke my pen!s into my wife's vag!na.
If I ran a school, I'd ELIMINATE the entire "sex-ed" curriculum. It's disingenuous to anyone with a brain.
If you like this action. Go to Sao Paolo or Rio. They will show you how to roll a condom on a banana.

Frist is only harassing the abstinence people for NO good reason, while HELPING Waxman look good to his constituency by launching this bogus investigation.
To: Cicero
True.
Frist is not Presidential material. He is Trent Lott-light. Weak weak weak!
We need to ram a few things through right now to send a message to all that we are in power, have an agenda and mean business. I fear this is only the first of many times Frist is going to be caving to the socialists.

He's right ya' know? The programs should be reviewed, definitely. When they're telling kids things like they can get pregnant just by touching someone and other bogus garbage, then yeah, let's have some review here.

Okay. Abstinence based education is both impractical and unconstitutional. It surprises me that some Freepers who are so opposed to a federal role in education would favor meddling such as this.
Either you are for a federal role in education or you are not. If not, wouldn't it be ideologically consistent to oppose abstinence based funding as government interference?
