President Bush and First Lady Laura spent the evening at the Pageant of Peace and lit the National Christmas tree. Earlier in the day, the First Lady gave photographers a tour of the decorations at the White House. Also earlier, the President announced the cabinet appointment of Nebraska Governor Mike Johanns as Sec. of agriculture. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
Hi Tiggy!
Hi, Snugs!
Hi, Dolly!
Thanks for the early Morning pics of our wonderful First Couple.
I watched the tree lighting on C-Span, and it was clear that the President wanted to stay - he was having so much fun singing the carols. But since nobody can leave until he does, he left, reluctantly to be sure, at the end of the carol sing.
I love our President and First Lady.
Who is the Pres. singing with in the first picture? Looks like they're all having fun.
Hi ya Pippin how is my favourite hobbit doing?
I just called Michael Savage and idiot and a moron on a thread I see he is reading, HEE! HEE!
How's everything going with you?
FABULOUS pictures. WOW. Thank you.
C-Span will show it at 2:09 p.m. today for those who didn't see it.
I'd say that's devotion to duty, posting when you did, being tired. Thanks for the Dose. These photos are wonderful.
I was up til 1 am west coast time and kept refreshing, looking for my Dose. I wondered what happened!
I got a Christmas card from the White House! I'm so stoked! Of course, my Libertarian son tried to spoil it all by saying that a lot of them were sent out and I shouldn't be so happy, and why was I so involved in this 'cult of personality' (he's talking about us Dosers, y'all), yada yada, but I don't care. I'm surprised and happy to get one and consider it a physical connection to a great time in US history.
I got the Christmas card too. I think it's something to do with the donations I made to his campaign.
I assume so as well. It's just that my donations were sooo small. Hardly Christmas card worthy. But they were multiple, so maybe that's what matters.
I just made one or two donations and they were small too. But I wrote several cards of encouragement/thanks to them. So maybe that matters too.
That is the most beautiful Christmas tree! And our Laura is lovely, as she always is. I am so thankful our Lord Granted us four more years with our Wonderful President and First Lady! (Thank You, Dear Lord!)
If you're still here, Hi (((((Homemom)))))!
Hi Kitty!
Glad to see you!
I must go vacuum now . . . the builder is coming in a little while and we're finalizing our home plans . . . YIPEE!!!!
Laura sure has the Christmas sparkle in her eye, doesn't she? So does the President, for that matter . . . HMMMMM. We all should take a clue from them. :-)
Congratulations on your new home! I'm on my way out the door right now to go and check on the progress of the one we are building! God Bless you, my friend!
