Welcome to TGIF at the Finest!   We hope you've been having as much fun as we have with our essays and/or spotlight on various FReepers. From the beginning, we've been kicking back on Saturdays and Sundays and simply reviewing the features of the week; our weekend threads now start on Friday and continue through Sunday. Thank you for the birthday wishes Aqua. I know how hard it is to be here to respond to everything that happens. I find myself bothered when I don't have time to at least check out the thread quickly to see what's going on. It's sort of like neglecting my family. I hate it when something happens and I find out about it days later. My birthday was of no consequence in the greater scheme of things. The older one gets the less important are the birthdays. Hope your thread for the 15th is coming together.

Oh my, Texagirl, you have been having a rough time of it. I'm sorry you didn't feel like you could come here for prayers and comfort. Nothing is more important than that we pray for one another. Your sister will surely recover now that they know what they are dealing with. May the Lord watch over the doctors who will be operating on her, and may He be with your sister to give her hope and peace, and then healing. Your bother's family has a very devastating thing to deal with. Suicide is just about the toughest problem to face any family. The questions never seem to get answered. The only solution is to trust the Lord and know that He will deal with the situation and bring ultimate healing. God grant you strength as you deal with two stressful situations.

Heavenly Father, this is a family in need of your protection. They are going through some serious trials, especially with the loss of a child and impending back surgery.

Please surround this family with Your loving arms and grant them the strength needed to deal with the stresses and grief that they face. Especially bestow peace to the family who have suffered the tragic and unspeakable horror of the loss of a child. Please guide the hands of the physicians treating Texagirl's sister so that they may administer healing to her back.

We ask these favors as Your humble and contrite servants in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
